The Bicentennial Arboretum
It’s a dog-friendly park with a small waterfall that can be activated with a push button. Only thing is that the water probably needs changing. The smell wasn’t really pleasant and kind of drags down the rest of the park. Overall a nice place to walk your dog or take a walk yourself.

Reasonable views from Galloway Cres over the town buy the trees are suffering from the drought and there are signs of neglect. The plaque is missing from the lookout point. Plantings from last year looking sad. Look forward to seeing this place when this region is not in drought.

Arboretum Bicentennial Park is one of the many parks in Armidale, NSW. It is just about 1-2 km from the centre of the town. The park is a an excellent spot for picnicking and taking children for a recreational outing. It is also a nice spot for short walks with a gentle sloping footpath leading to a small clear lake built within the park. A variety of trees such as the poplar, pin oak, golden ash and cherry plum amongst others provide shady areas to sit and relax. The park has two roofed barbecue places and roofed play area for children. Highly spacious, it is a place for all ages.
