Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum

Rode a bike up to this lookout and its an amazing place the see a Panoramic view of the city of Goulburn. The weather was perfect and was a lovely visit.

Drove up here to check the lookout and found the memorial.One of the best war memorials outside the National.Allow at least an hour to visit.Several buildings, good views of Goulburn from the top.Good array of displays and friendly staff.

It is a impressive view over Goulburn. It is located on the top of Rocky hill in Goulburn. There is a small museum in the beautiful garden. It’s a great place to show kids the history or the past. Lest we forget!

Well worth the short trip to the summit. The view from the top of the monument is lovely, albiet behind glass now (presumably due to safety concerns and sadly, insurance costs). Seeing the city below makes you realise how small Goulburn really is yet makes you appreciate how significantly historic it is at the same time. The museum expansion was a great addition and builds on the memorial theme very well. The quality of exhibits and general presentation mixes it with the big boys (War Memorial in the capital for example) and is a credit to those that envisaged and funded it.

Driven through and past Goulburn so many times but this was our first visit to this historic site.A great view that puts Goulburn in perspective as well as poignant remembrances of the Great War.

Been meaning to visit for years. Glad we did today. A delightful surprise, with a modern museum, and great views up the tower.

The view is spectacular, although if steps and hights arnt your thing, this is not for you. A small donation is requested in the museum. Limited car spaces available. A must see on your next trip!!

Amazing view over Goulburn. Sadly the balconies up top were closed when i was there, but it's amazing looking down over the suburb. Highly recommended.

The WW1 Museum is filled with so much history and gear/equipment from the past. The tower is so unique and such an icon in the area, there are very few locations in the region you can stand without seeing this tower perched upon the hill.Not very big and you can get in and out in about 30-60mins depending on how much reading you want to do, it is just a gold coin donation to enter the museum.
