Koala Conservation Reserve
I visited in May and had a wonderful experience! The entry price was reasonable and the reserve well kept. A lot of care and effort went into minimising human interference and maintaining a natural environment. Volunteers were extremely helpful in pointing out the koala which can be hard to spot. The loop takes about 45minutes to walk, but if you are stopping to search for koalas and are busy taking pictures (like me!) then it could easily take 1-1.5hours. Will definitely visit again!

My family and I went here today. We saw lots of koalas. They are all very well fed. Many of them were awake which was a great thing to see since they sleep most of the day.Very recommended for family activity and educational purposes! The place was clean and shady.

Our family attended this centre yesterday 28/06/23. The work they are doing to protect the koalas in obviously amazing. During our visit however there was a “volunteer” who told one of our children off very bluntly for touching a loose sign in the outdoor area. Not long after that he told our children off for standing next to the cartoon koala and bird sign - not to climb in another blunt way. There wasn’t any signage not to climb - it’s what children will naturally do. I feel like responses and interactions could have been more positive and fostered the passion of having fun and learning about the koalas. Staff seemed to run the centre like a no child zone.

There were two boardwalks and a short trail where you could see koalas. We spotted 10 koalas today. Two of them were active and climbing trees, and another little one was asleep on a low branch right above a boardwalk - it was very very adorable. We saw much more koalas today in one hour than we did during a two-day hike on French Island. Highly recommend!

Good place to spot koalas in their natural habitat. The site is pram friendly, with elevated boardwalks making it easier to walk and spot them close up, but don't forget to spot other animals like wallabies and Gallahs. Good place to just have a walk around regardless, the abundance of trees makes the air feel fresher. Toilets available.

It was a very cold day, but there's something special about the Victorian Bush in the winter. The colour and the smell and the tone of the Bush are glorious, and the Koala Conservation Reserve was no exception. We saw a few koalas bundled up against the cold. It was very special for my family as they hadn't seen koalas in the wild before today. Lovely experience.

Being a cat owner, I have a knack for finding hidden kitties. However, I quickly realized that spotting koalas requires a different set of skills. These furry creatures can climb high up on thin branches and blend in with the eucalyptus tree trunks.I visited around 3-4pm and discovered that all the koalas were peacefully sleeping. It took me a little while to locate each one of them.If I hadn't been pressed for time, I could have happily stood there, mesmerized by their serene slumber. It was an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Additionally, I was lucky enough to spot some adorable wallabies during my visit.

Great experience for me and my family as this was the first sighting of koalas for us. Ticket was $30 per adult which is reasonable and worth. There were 8 koalas and lots of Wallabies and we were fortunate to spot all the koalas. Staff was friendly and helpful.
