Tarra-Bulga National Park
Definitely recommend this park. I didn’t read much about it before I came but it is a full on rainforest. I happened to be here on a day when it was lightly raining which was actually the perfect day.Be advised most trails were muddy. I did 2 (bridge and forest trail) and both were muddy. For forest, it was even a bit slippery at times so probably not good for people who aren’t good on their feet. Also, just to note, check your legs periodically for leeches. I pulled a good 20 pr so off me throughout my hike. They are the skinny kind and they kind may your way up your leg, so you just grab and flick them off

Heaps of mini walks and trails to do around the suspension bridge and also to visit the 2 extra waterfalls further down the road. Very easy walks which can be completed in runners with some good forest views. Much cooler and slightly more humid than metro Melbourne so good way to escape the heat of summer.

Tarra-Bulga National Park
A really nice national park with great walks through natural rainforest. There is also a great drive along the Tara River on a narrow windy road with a few places to stop and admire nature.

Tarra-Bulga National Park
Such an amazing national park in the middle of rainforests with a few nice walking tracks that are suitable for all fitness levels. The suspension bridge which has been surrounded by the green atmosphere was the most scenic part of the park with a stunning view. Highly recommended to visit if you are around the area.

Beautiful and serene place. If you go a bit further from the tarra bulga picnic area to the visitor centre, you will find the directions to the suspended bridge which is quite awesome…

This is such a beautiful walking spot. The views are so lovely and the sounds of the creeks are so calming. I love the moody atmosphere of this forest/park. The trail is not too intense, so it is suitable for most fitness levels. Definitely worth a visit if you're around the area.

Tarra-Bulga National Park
Fantastic 6.6 km hike from visitor center to suspension bridge then double back to Lyrebird trail. You can grab a map from the visitor center tin box if it is not open. Track is wide but it can get boggy and has some decent inclines - what goes down must come up. Good hiking boots and socks highly recommended. Plan for a picnic at the end. Lots of tables and a BBQ area at the visitor center car park.

The forest is wonderful and well worth a visit. The park facilities are worn out and way overdue for maintenance or replacement. Use the not very good toilets at the Bulga visitor centre, because the toilets in the Tarra section of the park are much worse.

Tarra-Bulga National Park
The Tarra-Bulga National Park is a joy to visit if you're into nature and hiking. The tree ferns make a beautiful green backdrop to the giant mountain ashes throughout the park. There are trails that are well-marked and clear and go throughout the park. There are also many picnic tables and even electric bbqs at the Tourist Visitor Centre and another feature is the Suspension bridge which is well visited. Tarra falls is another quick stop.
