Hamilton Base Hospital
This Hospital is as basic as they come, not equipped to deal with real emergencys, staff have no experience and have no manners. Your lucky if you talk to a doctor as the nurses seem to run the show, as there is limited doctors on staff at any time. Moved from Melbourne but this experience makes me wish I stayed in Melbourne, just for the better hospital and doctors available,

Normally I get looked after very well at this hospital,But last night was the worst experience of my life,After being looked after by some amazing paramedics knowing the severity of my muscular dystrophy and the pain associated with it only to be refused treatment from the doctor on duty and was made to discharge myself,Not only that, but I was verbally abused by their AH Coordinator and all because I knew my rights as they were wanting to test me for other things that had nothing to do with the reason I was there and the paramedics cleared me of all covid risks otherwise I would have never been allowed in the EDABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING

Recently my mother required emergency respite aged care. I can't thank this woman enough. Sophie Krause the aged care coordinator for her professionalism. Compassion and prompt answers to our questions. She is amazing and my family are extremely grateful for her.

I booked in last November 2021 for a procedure and it never took place. They said 4-6 months wait time and now it's September 2022. Really hopeless. Let's hope their other maternity services are better otherwise I'm going down to Warrnambool hospital.

Most unsafe hospital to go to and also work as a junior doctor ! Having worked here i know how bad this place really is ! Pathetic is NOT the word

Have never had a better experience at any hospital. Hamilton hospital staff go above and beyond. Doctors and surgeons are amazing and the nurses. Always greeted with a friendly smile and never feel like a burden to have to press the bell or talk to a nurse about an issue. Day 5 in hospital and not 1 bad experience.

Slow, not much compassion, saw three different docs. All had different diagnosis. Ended up with major infection because none even checked my throat. All I needed was basic antibiotics. Helped with pain relief though. But if your really sick go to Warnnanbool .
