Mount Xavier Golf Course

Very friendly staff and members, and a good course. It's short, but there are narrow fairways and guarded greens to make up for it. The fairways aren't watered and were dry and hard, and the greens had just been cored, so it wasn't fantastic, but I can see the potential! I did enjoy a relaxing round!

If it's going to be cold somewhere it's Ballarat and the gale force winds made it even more uncomfortable, but we still enjoyed the day, some more than others, this relatively tame course can bite you on the butt with a few narrow pine tree lined fairways and the ever present wind to assist your ball to find them.Look, the greens and tees were good, the fairways dry as a chip and like concrete and left you with very tight lies, which made it hard at least for me to get a club on the ball, one small miscalculation and you'd be catching them thin4 Stars because the people that run this place are the most accommodating people going around.Play it on a calm day if you can.

Greens run true, bit slow. Fairways are decent, just have a lot of grass clippings on them. An interesting layout.

A good country atmosphere.At the moment the greens are naturally slow because of the wet weather.The last 9 back holes are the best from my perspective.

The course was in terrific condition and the best value golf course in Ballarat.

Really enjoyed the game. Course not too long but requires golfing skills to maneuver ball. Greens are challenging. Fairways are undulated.

This is a great course! I've only ever played at Bunnyong and Darley before and this is right up there with em. It wasn't the longest but had tight turns at some and was all round an interesting course. Definitely would recommend!
