Awesome bushland walk with dogs, great spot feels like you're out in the country would recommend using this park. Lots of native birds and path to walk right through. Kids would love it, plus areas for picnics on a warm day.

One of my favorite places in the perth metro to visit for wildflowers, specifically native orchids. Great variety and range of native orchids. Theres a few individual plants that are particularly beautiful.

Star Swamp Bushland Reserve
Great place for a picnic , go to the water tower museum first ( entry via donation), look at the amazing views from up top.. then have a nice prepackaged lunch with the kid's on the lawn , walking trails are here also. Take note the swamp dries up mostly in Summer so the best time is after the wet periods. Kid's will love it here i know because i grew up here myself as a kid and have always enjoyed this place.

Star Swamp Bushland Reserve
Wonderful patch of remnant woodland and a freshwater lake. We saw a large flock of around 50 endangered Black-Cockatoos (Carnaby's or Baudin's, I'm not sure which).
