This used to be one of my favourites but wow the food has really gone downhill. How can your cook not even know how to poach an egg…?? We spent $70 for “this”… yolk was hard, no butter, browned avo, not sure what the white stuff was, wasn’t feta though.. just dismal guys, another person who doesn’t mind paying.. but you need to provide something for the price.. it’s a piece of bread and an egg for gods sake. Fritters were wet and mushy. Overall taste was horrible too. Couldn’t eat it we left very disappointed

A beautiful old boathouse located near the Yarra River, offering light teas and grilled food. You can choose either to sit inside or outside to eat your meal.

Gorgeous place to have lunch outside, lots of seating in a casual atmosphere. View of the river and nature makes it nice and relaxing. Food is delicious, recommend the Devonshire Tea - scones are so nice and fluffy. Best!

Nice spot to relax, eat and enjoy the view. The vibe here is top notch. I love that they keep the 1925 building operating - so pretty. Food is not the best to be honest. Their scones are not served warm and more like a bready type, not bad tho, I still enjoy them. Generous portions of fresh cream and jam!

Cute little place to stop for a coffee, ice cream, slice of cake. Very casual. We stumbled upon it accidently, but next time we'll plan to spend a bit of time to rent boats. Also enjoyed the pipe bridge and all the colorful artwork underneath.

Amazing experience at Fairfield boathouse. Very well maintained facility with old fashioned structure. Location is absolutely amazing. Food is very good however a bit pricey. Our all time favourite place for brunch. You can also go kayaking. Perfect spot in summer. One of the best scones in Melbourne.

Delicious food, had a nice vegan burger which was scrumptious. Orange cake to die for. Nice quiet view of the lake while having lunch and lovely service.

Nice place. Pity about the food.$41.41 scones for two Under cooked very doughy, not even a proper pot of tea, teabag used, I'm Happy to pay a premium price for premium service but this establishment doesn't even come close, massive disappointment. Staff removed unclean dishes but didn't clean our table prior to service. You need to be warm & inviting not be so cold to customers. (Pity so many people don't know what a 5star review should be)
