The current Lightscape event at the gardens is definitely a not to be missed event! At every turn I was amazed and enchanted by what I saw. The gardens were transformed into a magical place of changing colours with background music that just carried you away. Because of all the photo opportunities along the way, the walk around the garden lake took approx an hour, an hour thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended.

Was here on a sunny Sunday afternoon and I love it.You could do a day trip nearby to many different scenic spots which I did as wellI spent around 3 hours here and I would say good options are limited to one cafe, so bring your own food and drinks. This place is also suitable for people who wants to walk their dogs or bring their kids. So I would definitely love to come here again.Be careful of wet weather

LIGHTSCAPE at the Royal Botanical Gardens was amazing - the displays were breathtaking and vivid, with so much variety. The only drawback was that there were very few places to stop and rest along the way, which makes it difficult for someone with mobility issues to manage the whole thing. We could see the park benches but the paths were cordoned so we couldn’t access them during this event.

They also had bench all around the places for walker to rest and enjoy the fresh air.Would definitely recommend if you want to get away from the busy city and get some me time.

If you have time on your hands this park/garden is must to visit. It was raining off and on for our walk however it was still lovely. This time of year in Autumn the trees were in beautiful colour. Close to the Shrine too which is also a must

We visited the Annual Lightscape light show at the gardens this evening. This was our first time and likely our last. Having lived in Sydney and experienced it’s Annual Vivid light show, we expected something similar. Unfortunately there is absolutely no comparison. If you’re looking for a pleasant evening walk, and the weather’s not too cold, it’s OK. But if you’re after something in any way dramatic, I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed. Add to that the very steep price, $40, with no concession pricing, compared to Sydney’s free Vivid, and it’s very hard to recommend. I understand that Victoria’s finances are in bad shape and that this may be a way of raising funds for the gardens, which are truly beautiful during the day time, but I believe $10-$20 would have been fairer to value for money.
