I had my lap and hysteroscopy done today and I’m so impressed with how efficient, super clean and organised the staff are ! The elective surgery unit is amazing - from reception, to aneathesist team, to recovery staff and my surgeon Laura- all really professional and kind. I’ve never had surgery before but the kindness, happy faces and cleanliness really put me at ease- especially those fresh warm blankets! Highly recommend!

Came here last week for a colonoscopy. My first ever. So I was fairly nervous.Happy to inform that the centre was very clean and the people were very nice.Whole thing took about 3 hours. The colonoscopy only 40 mins.They put you under for the procedure. You don't feel anything. Best 40 min sleep I've ever had.I won't be nervous next time.

Went in today to get my gallbladder removed. From when I entered the main entrance till the very end all the staff, nurses, and doctors were so kind, polite and very caring. I cannot fault anything. All done with care and professionalism.

My elderly father was transferred from the Northern hospital due to unavailability of beds.His stay was 4 days during this time he was not bathed once offered a shower or wash facilities very disappointing when you have to put their care into the hands of the health system where not even the basic needs are met.

Avoid at all costs. Terrible administrative system, went there for my pregnancy appointments and I can count maybe two times max that they didn’t screw up my appointment time or date. I have made 5 formal complaints and spoke with the head of patient experience with no accountability taken. They made my whole pregnancy (which was high risk) a lot more stressful. The advice and information I was given by medical staff there was inconsistent and contradictory as well.

I attended for a day procedure. The check in was friendly and helpful. I was then taken to a room where all my details were checked and further forms completed with care and a very friendly manner to put me at ease. I then met the anesthetist who explained the procedure and took pains to make sure I was at ease and had no concerns. The staff are exceptional and I felt looked after at all times. A very friendly and helpful team of professionals.Well done to all of you.David

I cannot thank the staff at the surgical unit for the best care I have ever had in Australia. Right from the front entry, and registration, and nurse admission with the incredible nurse- (I would put you name down but not sure if that's a good idea for privacy? You know who you are! M) to the anaesthetist, attendant nursing professionals for pre and after care, the surgeon... It shows you what care can look like, in fit for purpose facilities, respect, racially and culturally diverse staff and space and time for real medical care AND CLINICAL EXCELLENCE. So grateful. Thank you so very much.

I been in here for 4days I got to say this hospital food has been a 10 out 10 the food been spot on so hospital keep this cook.and nurse Cathy from b unit has been fantastic understanding and very helpful to me in here and old lady next to me Cathy has gone out her way to help us and make us feel comfortable while we are in here I highly recommend this hospital a big thank u to u Cathy for all your understanding and help but doctors are not that helpful just want u out the door as fast as possible told me they fast tracked my procedure which was a lie they didn't end up doing it they put me on a waiting list list while my pain is still thru the roof so I'm not happy or impressed by getting lied to

Had a GTT test booked in for 9am, no other patients around, kept me waiting for 35 minutes then told me I’d missed the allotted window to complete the test. Avoid Pathology at all costs!
