Ivanhoe Public Golf Course

Very very poor drainage. For a clay based soil it needs a LOT of work.Practically a bog. Melbourne is wet, sure. But this is almost unplayable.

We played here on the 2nd of Jan 2021, Nice welcoming at the lobby by the staff if i am not wrong its Michael or Frank. really like the golf course, with reasonable green fee on weekend. Not so crowded and very challenging course. I do like the #14th Tee Box.....we will be back there for sure as we enjoyed playing there.

I recently played a round of golf at Ivanhoe Public Golf Club, and while I enjoyed the experience, I have mixed feelings about the course. The condition of the course left something to be desired, with several areas in need of maintenance and repair. However, the greens were well-kept and made for a challenging game.Despite the course's condition, I was impressed by the customer service provided by the staff. They were friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They offered excellent recommendations and ensured that I had everything I needed for an enjoyable game.One aspect that stood out was the ample parking space available. I didn't have to worry about finding a spot or circling around the lot, which made for a stress-free start to my game.Overall, while the course condition was not the best, the good customer service and plentiful parking space made up for it. I would recommend Ivanhoe Public Golf Club to anyone looking for a relaxed game of golf with a friendly staff.

Lovely little golf course, there were a lot of leaves though which did make it rather difficult to find your ball. Other than that great, lovely little pro shop with everything you need and a nice cafe too! $80 for 2 people and a cart I thought was pretty good value too

My favourite course in the world. It will always be my home. Thank you to everyone at the golf club for being so accommodating whilst I was a member there. The coaching was phenomenal and the staff all became my best friends. I love all of them. Play comp on a Saturday with the regulars. They're a blast. ❤️

Benny Crocker of a golf course. Ripper course if ya wanna play 9 with 40 blokes up ya Russell coight. Fairways are grouse if ya like hitting off 30 mpa conc. Catchyas spuz!

I really like this course and slightly reluctant to give it a 5 star review in case it becomes too popular. Tee boxes are a bit lumpy but all in all, I love playing here and the staff are super friendly.

Very nice course. Generally plays fairly short (other than the par 4 2nd). Overhanging trees, creek, doglegs make this a fairly technical course where position is key.In pretty good condition most of the year, but has experienced pretty bad flooding during the last couple of winter seasons.Play can be frustratingly slow during peak times. Would be good if there was a marshall driving around asking groups to speed up as there are many amateurs playing who don't quite understand golf etiquette. Also, grouping 1s and 2s would be good rather than having 3 singles playing in a row.Staff are friendly and club house isn't amazing but the beer is generally cold.

It's a really lovely course but at the moment very wet after the rain.... lots of mud. I haven't played there for a few years but a few holes now have some of the gum trees grown over the ball line.... and I'm not good enough to be able to hit the ball around it! This par 3 is a good example. High loft straight to the flag but the tree plays with your mind....
