Lovely building with clean well maintained facilities. Overall a beautiful and well maintained country club.Unfortunately the food is not worth the price - most expensive steak on offer was stringy and full of sinew - Medium rare" was cooked well done on one end and very rare on other end. Plates which steaks are served on have raised pattern texture which requires slicing steaks repeatedly to get a clean cut through.I also noticed that a large number of the restaurant staff are clearly unhappy and not well looked after or motivated - I'm guessing they are either totally over-managed or just scared of management - doesn't look like they are happy and prosperous in their work . This carries through to their level of happiness when serving customers. They also do not consistently follow best service standards in the restaurant as a wholeDon't think I will be back. Better places in the area for that price and just too much like hard work for a lot of money when I would rather be relaxing and enjoying a nice meal"

Had our daughters birthday party and it was an absolutely amazing experience!The staff were lovely and everyone had a great time!

I had a disappointing and upsetting night due to the rude kitchen staff.I was attending a function which has a set menu. Each one either has a chicken or Lamb. I am sitting at the last table. By the time serve to my table I had only chicken putting at my table. I was away at the time and I thought we could swap because earlier table actually had a choice. So I simply asked can I have a lamb pls. I have been told no. And then a kind person at my table said I can swap. So I said thank you and we swapped. Everything would Be fine and I am still enjoying the night.Until!!!!!!!!!! The rude kitchen lady came next to me: said: if you have dietary requirement, let us know next time. Blablablabla …. I said I don’t have special requirement I just wanted a lamb. That is part of the set.Well, the way the lady came straight to me asked said the blaming tune to me, is very upsetting me! I lost my apitize straight way. Yes there were nearly 100 people and people asked stuff but you said no. Without helping me, and She cannot just blame all the night craziness to me. I am not her rubbish bin to take all the angryniess. I am Asian yes, I seem to be nice yes , but I also have emotions. I don’t deserve to be told off right in front of everyone. I didn’t make trouble and you didn’t help!! So what make you to come and talk to me like that!??? Just because you served a food that I paid for ?????The worst experience in hotel ever in Melbourne!!!!

Bought a membership nearly 12 months ago, and ever since I have never been able to get a table! I tell them I paid for a membership and they don't care! I definitely wouldn't go again and I will definitely not recommend them to anyone else!

While our previous visits had been disappointing due to the quality of food...this time around we were pleasantly surprised.I wish i had the name of the young lady who looked after us, as she knew what service is. Firstly upgraded us to a booth with the more comfortable seats, provided water without us needing to ask and generally made the dining experience very enjoyable...thank you.The meals are good, but there not great unfortunately.However, will still visit our club and enjoy the new facilities and ambience...and have a good time.

I ordered the garlic prawns for lunch today and wanted to substitute the salad for chips as I had done previously. I was told on this occasion that it wasn’t possible. I also ordered the dish with extra garlic. Imagine the horror of seeing salad leaves served on top of the rice and steeping into the sauce. Visually a definite no. As for the taste, salad dressing with a vague watery sauce, with no added garlic made for a very insipid dish. Don’t waste your money! Agree with others about the staff issues, no-one looks happy. It’s a pity, as the venue is lovely. Find somewhere that has a care factor. You won’t see me back.

Food was reasonable for price paid, but meals were very slow to come to the table, and dessert ordered with mains order, had to be asked for three times over a half hr time frame, before it was brought out.Will try here again, as they may have just had a short-staffed evening, as our experience was quite different to recommendations!

Great meals are available at very affordable prices. Great atmosphere with plenty of staff to assist. Great wines to compliment meals.Great family atmosphere.

Nice venue, very pleasant. It's a shame the staff don't match the venue, they all look miserable. The ones I dealt with directly were rude and abrasive. Food was very underwhelming.
