We drove from the road, with the calm water along the road, to the parking area. After walking up the sandy hill, we found a windy and wild beach/ocean. Quite the contrast!

The beaches along the seaward side of the neck heading towards South Arm are a little piece of paradise. The area, although close to Hobart, is often deserted. If you like chasing that feelibg of solitude or just getting away from the rat race for a short walk this is a great spot. The beaches form the northern boundary of Storm Bay and attract flotsam and jetsom, if you have time take a small bag and take some plastic home after your walk...
