The Nut State Reserve
A spectacular view throughout the walk up & down and at the multiple vantage points at the summit. When they say steep, they mean steep, so the chairlift is always a good option when operating.Once at the summit the ~2km circuit provides undulating walking trails with varying surfaces. There's also seats along the way to either rest or just take in the views.Being exposed to the elements, the weather can change quickly, so best be prepared.

Lovely scenery, beautiful beach and rock pools. We didn't get to do the chair lift but it looked great.

Stanley the quintessential, off the Beaton track, town you might go to if not just to say ‘I’ve been there’ but to experience old work charm and the views are impressive from The Nut and up where the Stanley Historic House is.Wish we could have stayed a couple of nights we only did a day trip.Would be a perfect place to go to unwind for a time.

Excellent place to view the north coast, the chair lift makes walking the Nut very easy. Lots of good vantage point around the top.

We loved Stanley and the chairlifts up The Nut and the walk around the top. So scenic across the ocean and interesting history. Great lunch at the hotel.

Cool day with strong gusts down below. Up on to it was pleasant among the shrubs and trees. Saw plenty of Paddy melons. View in all directions is spectacular!

Awesome view. The track up is super steep be warned hahaha but tell the kids to run up if you want them to wear out quickly.

Stanley is well off the beaten track but if you've got 10 days or more to tour around Tasmania, then it's a must. Whether you walk up The Nut (steep!) or take the chairlift, be sure to complete the short perimeter walk at the top for fabulous coastline views. You'd be 'nuts' not to!
