Hobart International Airport

What a beautiful little Airport. Very clean, friendly staff, good food, warm and comfortable, but the highlight is the little play area for children. This was such a Godsend for people travelling with young kids to keep them occupied during the boring wait to board flights. I wonder why other Airports in Australia don't follow suit?

Cute compact size airport . Clean and tidy , not far from capital Hobart.

Two shops for food, one being cafe food - pies, sausage rolls, wraps, muffins, the other is a Liv-Eat franchise - healthy eating such as salads, sandwiches and wraps. So if you're thinking 'I'll just get some nuggets for the kids at the airport', that's not happening.Only other shops are 2 Tasmanian local goods gift shops and 1 newsagency.There's a little toddler interactive play section between Gate 5 and 6.Only lounge on site is Qantas club.Power points available though some in weird spots, so I think they're not quite made for travellers but no one seems to mind if you used them.There's a free drop off/pick up lane. Otherwise there's parking options : various options available but as a rough guide, <10 mins FREE, from $10 for up to an hour, daily goes up by $20ish every day but reduces to $10 a day after 5 days.There's now a skybus that goes to and from Hobart CBD, $19.50 one way, $36 returnAs of 30/12/22

There is a major problem with the seating in the departure area where disabled people like myself couldn't get a seat as all the seating areas was taken and about up to 100 people standing without seats. Never been to a departure waiting area with this many people standing for over 40 minutes before seats were available. Its time to upgrade this airport to assist people who need seating otherwise the rest of the Hobart international Airport was great with no other complaints.

It is a nice clean small Airport.I wish they had a 'Welcome to Tasmania' sign so that tourists can take photos when they arrive in Tasmania.Food wise there's not much choice but there's a bar.It's a very simple airport compared to an international Airport like Singapore Airport.

An International Airport with security that works. It has space, easy to find facilities and courteous staff. The Express Bus to the city is great and easy to find. The security staff where great, doing a there job with a smile. The departure lounge has plenty of places to sit, drink and charge your gadgets.

I like that it has plenty of inside space.And parking isn't an issue.At least you can sit inside the airport area unlike Sydney airport that kick out local and international arrivals until 4am which many travellers have no idea about

You wouldn’t want to spend long here. Hardly anywhere to sit when it’s busy. Very few shops and eateries. However, it’s very quick and easy to check in and get through security. No need to arrive more than 1 hour before the flight (unless you’re flying international) and given the lack of facilities and space, I really wouldn’t recommend arriving too early.

Typical airport. Nice and clean and easy to get to your flight gate. Still need to walk outside to board plane.

The landscape across the tarmac always reminds me of Langoliers. Lucky for me, the airport and staff are a joy to visit and the monsters don't eat up the trees.
