The Park Restaurant
Went there on a really busy Friday night - service was exceptional (James is delightful!) and the food was delicious and very generous portions. I had the lemon myrtle squid and my partner had the pork ribs and even the coleslaw that came out with the ribs was super tasty, and I could really taste the lemon myrtle in the squid crumb. Will definitely be back.

Family friendly restaurant that makes top quality meals for a reasonable price with exceptional service to make it worth way more than it costs. Burgers, calamari and schnitzels are all wonderful.

My family and I had a meal at The Park Restaurant last Thursday after seeing their special of kids eat free. We were very impressed with the quality of the meals and service, will defiantly be coming back soon.

Our family has eaten at many of the local restaurants and pubs down south. For the quality and price of the meals at The Park it has now become one of our favourites.

Terrible for anyone with allergies!Family had booked us in for Mothers day, but my Mum has severe intolerances to onion and garlic (among other things). Most places are happy to work something out that results in a tasty meal still. This place? Nah. 1st time: garlic and spring onion in the sauce. Then, no sauce with the salmon (how hard is it to do a simple cream sauce, guys?!), insisted the veggies were fine. They had whole onions in them. How is that fine? No care taken in kitchen as garlic and onion were still able to be tasted on parts of 'separate stuff'.And for someone who could barely eat half of the '3 course meal' (no alternative for the soup available) offered, still had to pay the full price. Rip off.For me, soup was also bland as hell, salmon overcooked and dry. Only good thing was the brownie.Honestly, the whole setup of the day felt like mass produced cookie cutter food that was done the day before and served by a skeleton staff for maximum profit.

We’ve eaten here on numerous occasions, taking the restaurant up on their kids eat free offer on a Thursday night. The food, value & staff are all fantastic. Our family has tried many items from the menu including the steak, pasta, salt & pepper squid salad & the schnitzel & found them all to be great quality & value. If you want a dinner with an amazing view, a relaxed atmosphere & great food, definitely give the park restaurant at Thaxted Golf Club a go, you won’t be disappointed.
