Best place to visit with family. Very lushy green landscape. Nice look out point of all the mountains. Cafe food is too good plenty of vegan options. Staff are very friendly. Informative museum next to the cafe. If you go to the terrace you will find binoculars which will keep you busy for next 15 minutes as the views are breathtaking. Nice walk you can do in the park or do the barbeque or just chillax. Great place to visit.

Very informative guided tour through beautiful old growth rainforest. Very impressive new off ground" walkways being built. Stunning birdlife and dear little paddy melons hopping close by with babies in tow. The rainforest discovery centre is fascinating. Sit in the dark and watch the nocturnal world unfold

Mary Cain Scenic Reserve...is the best place in Queensland to view the stunning scenery of the Glasshouse Mountains...while also enjoying a meal or coffee at the Cafe adjoining the Information centre which reveals the ancient history of the mountains and the ecology of the stunning rainforest...which also has an enchanting forest walk that can be enjoyed by all.

An iconic view of the Glass House Mountains set in an idyllic spot. The food in the cafe was delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The educational centre was fascinating. The walk through the rainforest was a once in a lifetime experience. We saw wild wallabies, an adder, skink and much more.

If you need some time in nature, this is a great place to get into a beautiful rainforest without having to do a huge or strenuous walk. Especially good for families with kids. High likelihood of seeing some pademelons and plenty of fungi!

One of my favourite walks with little kids.I have so many fond memories of my dad taking me here so now I take my own children. It's a short, flat and absolutely beautiful walk. Lots of wildlife; we saw a python, lots of pademelons and lots of birds last time we went. The kids love the education centre too.

Mary Caincross Scenic Reserve (MCSR) is a very good rainforest to visit. I have been there multiple times. The view of the Glass House Mountains is amazing. The Cafe has decent food and the discovery centre had lots of information and hands on activities. Bathrooms were pretty clean. Make sure to go up to the observation deck it is peaceful and relaxing so were the bush walk tracks.

We came here after a day exploring the Sunshine Coast hinterland and Mooloolaba. Unfortunately we didn't leave as much time as we hoped for the education centre, so I strongly recommend you check the opening hours of the centre when planning your trip. Luckily for us, being staffed by passionate local volunteers, one was kind enough to stay back and tell us about some of the native fauna and what to look out for that day on the rainforest walk. The centre houses taxonomic collections and other educational resources. If you're visiting with younger children, there are multimedia resources to keep them engaged.I'd recommend the walk for all abilities. There's very little incline or elevation reached on the, maybe 1.5k track? It's well maintained, free from leaf litter and other forest trip hazards. Once you've done the walk you can grab a bite to eat at the Cafe - which has phenomenal views of the Glasshouse Mountains, or if you like being organised with your free activities, pack a picnic and make a day of it. There's a great open space with a children's playground and amenities at the reserve.Definitely a place to visit if you're on the Sunshine Coast and looking for fun and free family activity.

Great place for a family day out, we have been many times, food is nice from the cafe there. Across the road is great views of glasshouse mountains down to Brisbane and there is a lot of interesting wildlife and trees around. One thing I've never heard the term timber getters before so you learn something new every day.
