Moggill Conservation Park
Good walk through forrested hills with some great flora and scenery. Very steep in parts, so a hiking stick is helpful. There are multiple tracks of varying lengths. All are signposted but lacked distances. There is a map at the Chalcot Rd entrance.

Nice leisurely walk to the creek ( if it's rained otherwise dry). Then it can get harder as you go on. Great spot for birds, insects, and native plants. There's invasive species that need removing, though. You can make the trip up and back in an hour or like me look for bugs and take a few hours. It is bush. So, no views, toilets, or BBQ. It's not that kind of location. Locals ride horses through.

Steep trails, well kept. Great for running and cycling if you like a challenge. If you're super-keen, you can run over the back to Mermaid Lookout, about 7.5km up to one of the best hidden views of Lake Manchester. It's a tough run though with the first 5km @ 10% gradient. Otherwise, there are some great loops starting at Chalcot Rd.

If you are looking for a Sunday morning bushwalk and brekky (with your fur babies on lead), Moggill Conservation Park is a perfect pick. Wide tracks shaded by grand eucalypts, cockatoos and currawongs for company and just enough hills to make you earn your breakfast. We did the Central Track and Ugly Creek (a grossly unfortunate name for such a pretty, little creek) circuit that probably should have taken just over an hour but we were too often distracted by all the enchanting natural delights we met along the way. You will share the track with horse riders and mountain bikers. Although we did not encounter any mountain bikers, we did come across some very friendly horses and their riders. Be sure to treat yourself to brekky at The Reserve Cafe at Anstead before leaving. A very happily situated cafe less than 1km from the conservation park. It does great coffee and a cracking breakfast. Very popular so best to book a table. No doubt you'll also walk away with a few extra pastries. Enjoy!

Moggill Conservation Park
Forest in need of some TLC.Some tough fire trails up steep hills and MTB single tracks for the more experienced rider and the fit.The local care group need effort to recover the native vegetation and slow water run off which has heavily scour the gullies taking top soils.Little to no standing or running water in the streams.

Beautiful little circuit trail! One direction is straight up and quite steep, but then downhill most of the way! Probably easier to walk up the gradual hill, but still has stunning views!

Great park for running/hiking around on foot. Not many great views but a reasonable challenge and distance. Looks good for biking and horse riding as well.

A good walk to take your dog on leash, with some pleasant scenery, expansive forested areas and range of flat and steep tracks. There was quite a number of different routes you could take, with maps at most entrances to the park. Great for wildlife and particularly birds, with several parking spots around the park.

I love tramping around this forest. Its great exercise and in the shade - mostly . Its hilly and challenging I've used this environment to train up for a few events such as The Kokoda challenge in the Gold Coast.
