North Lakes Environmental Reserve

Good place for the leisure activity for the entire family. There are lots of wildlife and the walk around the lakes is good. Put your walking shoes on and enjoy the nature. Of course you can find plenty of options for photography along the way.

Quiet park to walk the dog in the early morning. Do bring mosquito repellent as there’s some mosquitoes in late morning. Good to visit early when it’s cool to avoid mosquitoes. Park has flat paths for walking without steep climbs or hike and creek with birds

Quiet walking tracks in a nice suburb. Perfect for dogs. Parents with small children be aware that there are lots of bodies of water without much barrier. Sweet and natural.

A strong focus on native fauna in this neighbourhood park. Nesting water birds and other aquatic species make for some good camera shots. Flat paths are good for scooting on. Feeding the fauna is discouraged.

We normally visit the other lake but decided to try this one out for a change of scenery. Ample street parking. The paths are paved with concrete and wrap around the lake and surrounding bushland. There was a clean covered bbq with a deck overlooking the lake. The bbq was so clean it looked like it had never been used before. There was also a small playground nearby. You may see wildlife around the lake if you are lucky. We walked until we came across a footbridge for cars & pedestrians and discovered a second lake near some residences with another playground. There weren't many people around on the day we visited which made for a nice, peaceful walk with my partner and the dog. I didn't see any public toilets around otherwise I might’ve given this 5 stars.
