I have to say the best treatment you will ever get is on route to Green Slopes private hospital. I have had the pleasure of being in the presence of Ian ( Courtesy bus driver ) more times than I have had hot dinners. Ian is always very courteous, and nothing is too much trouble . Ian is the pinnacle of what you should expect from all employees, his attitude and humanistic values are spot on .

Lack of communication to patients and professionalism in most of the nursing staff. Some of the nursing staff very good Others not so Every one is under a lot of pressure .But common courtesy and updates of patients care is all one asks ,Dr do wonderful work and do a great job under all the circumstances. Food needs to be imported Been in this hospital a few time alway been good In the past

Whilst on holidays in Tasmania in May 2023 I fell and broke my ankle in 3 places. Once back in Brisbane my ankle needed surgery. I had the wonderful orthopaedic surgeon Dr. David L. Miller and his wonderful team for my surgery.I was admitted to Ward 45 and I can honestly say what a great team/staff on this ward. From the moment I was admitted to my lovely room staff were there attending to me and asking if I needed anything for pain etc....Night and day shift staff were absolutely wonderful caring, polite and attentive. The PCA Neil on this ward was so caring and attentive, nothing is ever an effort for him. And I can truly say the meals were lovely, nothing was too much effort. I was discharged on the Saturday morning but, had to wait for my medication for 4hrs. Just one area where this needs to be looked at is the waiting for pharmacy. Overall thank you Greenslopes for your professionalism and wonderful service. Keep up the great work that you all do. Thank you.

Choose wisely … they’ll charge you handsomely but the hospital is very old and needs a lot of work .. there is no circulation in the rooms …whilst waiting for brain surgery for 3 days I asked for a fan and have had to sleep with a wet washer and 6 ice packs to be cool is outrageous… shower needs to be turned on 10 minutes prior to entering to have a warm water. However staff are very apologetic friendly and obliging with the circumstances they have to work in. You will spend more of your day waiting in the lobby for a lift as only one lift of four works. Unfortunately, their bills don’t reflect the infrastructure failings. Do not go to ward 41 bed 5! You will not be comfortable or stress free.

I went in for open heart surgery, The surgeon Dr Paul Peters can walk on water with holes in his feet, a brilliant surgeon, who is compassionate, humble, hard working and has a sense of humour. The staff in all other levels of the hospital are fantastic, especially the guys in the ICU and ward 45.These people DO NOT get paid enough, without exception they display the levels of competency that we, the public, have come expect from the medical profession.I can't fault anything they did for me. I was out of there faster, in better condition and with far fewer hassles that I have witnessed at hospitals such as Ipswich.

Awful experience at the emergency department this past visit. It's a shame really, as any time I've had to be admitted, the experience was top notch - can't say the same about the emergency department. The long wait time does not bother me - I understand the need to triage cases that come in.The nursing and medical staff are what let the place down.Uncaring, disinterested & dismissive. I was in too much pain to move but no call bell was given if I needed assistance. The patient in the bed across from my cubicle was elderly and in a very poor way; she was calling out, begging for someone - anyone to come in and help her; I saw many, many nurses walk past her as she called out and cried and not one stopped in to assist her - at least 2 nurses stopped directly outside her bed area & rolled their eyes at this poor woman who was literally begging for a nurse to help her; this went on for over an hour without this poor woman being attended to.Medical staff were disinterested and without compassion. I'm a nurse myself & understand what an initial examination looks like - I was briefly looked over; then it was insinuated I was just seeking drugs" - I had to remind them that I stated I didn't come in for pain medication - I just needed investigations into why I had sudden severe pain; and the medical team did nothing - did not send me to imaging or even provide a slip for an outpatient imaging appointment. No theories or advice on what could have been causing so much pain was given

So disappointed with this hospital! The rooms are dated with mouldy/dirty ceilings. beds that squeak and rattle as you move it up and down. nursing staff were mostly good. Catering was awful! terrible food and unprofessional catering staff that scream even when patients are asleep.Definitely not the level it use to be! I will avoid at all costs in the future!

I’m not one to leave reviews, but after my operation at GPH yesterday, I felt the need to.Being my first ever operation, I was extremely nervous. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the lovely admissions receptionist who was bubbly & full of confidence. The nurses in pre admissions were so very friendly & caring, reassuring & so professional. My wonderful surgeon (Dr McKenzie) visited me before the surgery to run over the procedure & kept me updated with timing. The wardsmen who took me through to the operating room was so kind & kept me distracted as he could tell I was nervous. The anaesthetist spent so much time with me going through the procedure and the anaesthetic nurses explained everything to me before doing it. I felt SO safe and cared for, as if I was the only patient in the whole hospital. The hospital was so clean, everybody smiles at you, they give you warm blankets & it’s almost like you’ve checked into a 5 star hotel. The recovery nurses were my favourite. I hope you all know how much of a difference you’ve made in my journey & the world needs more nurses like you.I cannot recommend this hospital enough, the staff are magnificent & deserve the world.Would rate higher if I could ❤️

I go to the immunology clinic. The staff are outstanding. It is always busy. Email: Do not try and phone or leave a message. They are too busy to reply to phone messages. The nurses really get to know you and your family through sharing stories. The doctors are great at identifying your medical issues and then developing a health plan. Dr Zi Tan changed my life with his diagnosis. Thanks to him, I now live a much safer life.
