This is a wonderful farmers market.Get there early as it gets very busy.Good fresh produce, breads, cakes and free range eggs.Delicious mushrooms next to the Irish soda bread stand!

Feels the same as it did as a kid. Been to many Easter shows and rc racing. Couldn't believe they still race R/C cars on Saturday night. Great community hall available for public events and easy to access with the new rail network. Hope it stays the same forever. Off leash area which is great and open.

The Night Markets are great! If you arrive by 6pm you can usually get a car park fairly close to the ground, and probably a table. If you leave it any longer than that then you'll be having a grassy picnic. The toilets are on the car park side of the ground, so keep that in mind when you're choosing a spot to sit. There's lots of savoury and sweet treats to choose from. Lots of burgers and fries but not much Asian or South American. No Middle Eastern food, when I was there. They have some market stalls too. I bought some preserves and they have other stalls with craft and whatnot. Great eating!

Love it. Took my 5 year old to see her first circus show. Plenty parkings, coffee, drinks, popcorns other entertainment

I visited these showgrounds for the first time on 15 January 2023. There was a kite display on, mainly by kids and children. It reminded myself of when I was young, many many years ago, I did own a couple of kites. Actually I am not sure now whether I made them myself or not. We used to have kite fights in the air. That is one would try to dislodge the kite of another flyer. I don't think they do that anymore. Anyway the showgrounds had no public water supply available and it was a stinking hot day. I also discovered there was little shelter except under some trees. Well it was worth the visit but I could not wait to leave. Maybe I am not young enough to enjoy these experiences. I do not like to seem too critical but give a shaded courtyard any day. Somewhere I feel human. Bye! Happy flying.

A large ground with good facilities.The toilets are clean and comfortable.Parking also available.

Cancer Council: Relay For Life 20/05/2023 fund-raising event raised $282,000 (the target was $250,000) at Hills Showground. Excellent effort!

On the occasion of Makar sankranti ( solistice) ,the Indian diaspora celebrates the day by flying kites and savouring sweets of sesame and jaggery. Well attended event by Indians,locals and South East asians. Food trucks of snacks and icecreams and kite selling sralls doing brisk business. Parking was all full so many families had to go to long distances to park. Adequate arrangement of trash bins but were overflowing due to massive trashing.The council should look into providing sufficient mobile washrooms and drinking water facilities, looking to the overwhelming response of participants. Infact , in the coming years, it should be promoted as a tourist event.

This place really comes alive when the night market kicks off on the first Saturday of every month delivering an array of cultural foods and small gift shops .There is a huge amount of parking for the many people that pass through, it’s free to enter and runs from 5pm till 10pm .NOTE:Bring seats if you can manage as it can be trick to Aquire a table and chairs hear, as people tend to get a spot and hold it for hours .
