Gymea Bay Oval
Gymea Bay Oval is a great place for kids sports on the weekend, lots of parking and open spaces for walking the dogs or just running around with the kids. Canteen is open when sports are on and have lots of candy, good coffee and a BBQ with all the good bits. Unfortunately no GLUTEN FREE so no BBQ for me but the kids LOVED IT.Thank you...Cheers...

The oval had some parts of it with sand covering holes in the ground (which can be dangerous) you have to line up at the canteen and it takes a little while for the line to move not sure if it's people ordering or the staff taking their time but don't expect to just walk up to the canteen and zip back to your child's game. Food was good though they serve hot chips! The worst part is the parking, it is absolutely atrocious if you're expecting to find a carpark good luck! I had to park two blocks away in a side street for my sons soccer match absolutely appalling.

When we visited, most of the grass was dead and it was quite muddy. It has 2 areas with cricket nets, but is mainly a soccer field. You can park your car right next to it.Some people were riding their bikes and some were training dogs.

Just watched a couple of Soccer matches at the oval and must say the surface is in very good condition considering lack of rain. The amenities have been improved, and the canteen staff doing a great job with the sausage sandwiches still a big hit✅Rain has not affected the playing surface this year, 2022.2023 sees the ground still in good condition and very playable.
