The deluges of the past few weeks have brought more to this area than just soggy turf. These fungi appeared everywhere in Gannon’s park but only where wood chips were, and for some reason, no where else not even on decomposing leaves. All gone 36 hrs later.

Lower Gannon park is the dog off leash area. Great park to bring the dog if you ignore the very confusing signage for off leash area. There is also a bush track at the back for people who would like to venture a bit further.

Loved this park. 36 hectares of rejuvenated land. Very impressed. Siccer fiekds in excelle t condition as well.

This park has it all but the thing I came for was the off leash area. The lower end of the park has a large off lead area. Please note that it is not a fenced off area so if your pooch likes running off then this might not suit you. A local said they are going to reduce the size of the off lead area with future upgrades. I hope this is not true.

Huge open space, soccer & cricket fields, walking/running track, off-leash dog area, serene wetlands area at the lower end towards Lugarno.

Beautiful park, large dog off leash area with bush walking tracks. My pups had a good time sniffing around, and a good run playing fetch.
