We took the River Cat ferry to Parramatta (bus from Rydalmere while works are carried out) and had a pleasant walk up to Parramatta Park along the River. Lots of established trees and well maintained grounds for walks or picnics. Very close to many restaurants nearby. We enjoyed a guided tour of the Old Parliament House which is kept in its original condition. Circa 1788 and is a World Heritage Listed Building containing much colonial furniture. The volunteers were very helpful and friendly. The $12 entry fee helps pay for maintenance.

Lovely park next to Commbank stadium. We had an evening around the park and it was lovely. Lots of different activities and big group spending time together. Park has also a couple of restrooms.
