Tench Reserve
Very impressed by all the work that has been completed by Penrith Council The River Walk is well maintained and is well protected by trees. Hope the work is done soon to complete the rest. I will be visiting more often

Beautiful little spot, very nature filled, lots of opportunities for adventure and multiple play parks for the kids, also quite a few little fishing spots off the boardwalk and public toilet access (only one set of toilets were usable for females). Great spot for a long walk or run also

Tench Reserve
We recently visited the Tench Reserve Playground and were blown away! This newly renovated playground is now better than ever, with so many fun and exciting features for kids of all ages.One of the highlights was the water play area. The slides were also a big hit, and there were plenty of swings and accessible play areas for kids to enjoy. The park is shaded, which is great for those sunny days, and there are even gas BBQs available for use. There are accessible toilets nearby which is a big plus.

They're still working on it (Apr '23) but the parts that are ready are really nicely done. Beautiful parks, good playgrounds for the kids

Good relaxed setting. Good wide pathways have been put in. Toilets are just the usual public toilets. Play equipment is still in good order. Park near the boat ramp needs to be redone. Trees and shade sails cover most of the equipment.There is a bus that runs past. Beautiful scenery of the river.

One of my fave places to kick back and have a nature fix - extensive grass and established trees. On the banks of the Nepean with great coffee either on the water (ferry cafe) or nearby at another cafe.Edit: alas, the floating cafe is no more :( - but they are opening a dining/cafe district around existing coffee club - should be interesting.Edit: still a great destination, with new multi-use pathways and a fantastic new non-vehicle bridge to keep us and cars separate.

Great place to spend your day. There is plenty of parking and you will feel a lot of outdoor space next to you. There is no overcrowding and you will not have someone lying down next to you like in a few city parks. The Napean river view is just fantastic. Make sure you get your fishing rods as well.

Currently undergoing a major renovation due to be reopened either late this year or early next, looks to be expanding into a giant family area so there is more to do at the river - keep your dog on a leash there is rangers who will fine you

Lovely park along the river with plenty of footpaths and a row of cafes nearby to grab a coffee while the kids run free ☺️
