This poor neglected park really needs some attention. It isn't mown as often as it should be, making it dangerous to walk through (I fell down an unseen hole due to the long grass), the play equipment needs to be repaired & I don't think the public toilets have actually ever been unlocked at any time that we have been there.Maitland CC is spending a bunch of money on a new park precinct near the sports grounds in town while parks in suburbs are being neglected.

Stockade Hill Heritage Park
Great hidden park with heritage aspect, bbq and playground facilities are undergoing an update. Most importantly this is the site of a 6 hole disc golf course, the first in the Maitland area. Be warned that with wet weather this park can be boggy in the low lying areas.

Nice hilly/ shady spot to walk the dog, throw the frisbee or gather in a group. There’s a playground, covered seating and (temporary) disk golf set up there at the moment.

This park needs help, child’s playground is still under renovation and public toilets look like they haven’t been opened since 1950. Ample parking along each side of the park, opportunity to play the frisbee golf ⛳️ course at any time, just BYO.
