Newcastle Civic Park
The green heart of Newcastle’s CBD, Civic Park offers lush green trees and mowed grass and fresh oxygenated air perfect for escaping the air conditioning office. Very popular park for relaxing and holding civic rallies and protests. Additionally civic park has frequent market gardens, staged travelling shows / graduation and memorial events. The park commemorates Anglo-Centric culture via War Monuments and the Captain Cook Fountain plus a well kept flower garden.Surrounded by Newcastle Art Gallery, University Conservatorium of Music and Town Hall, public library, Civic Theatre and 5 Star Accommodation. Civic Park is one of Newcastle’s most valued public space, is accessible by light rail & bus, bike walking

Beautiful park, very well maintained. Lovely for weddings and photos to be taken. Occasionally there are events being held in the park- eg: the Maho Magic Bar- which was a fabulous experience.

Lovely place to stay at. Well maintained. Is close to the port, the beach isn't far away either. Bus and train is close aswell. War memorial Centre and another museum is right around the corner. There is a beautiful fountain in the middle of the park.

Went to Civic Park to see Speigal Tent.A fantastic show. Third time seeing it.If you have a broad mind you must see it.If not you should give it a go. You'll have a great time. It's a lovely park to hold this venue. The only thing is the council need to do major renovations on the toilets. Not enough to cater for large amounts of people.

If you're looking for a park that's as charming as a koala hugging a kangaroo while drinking a Foster's, look no further than Newcastle Civic Park! With its lush greenery, inviting pathways, and a massive fountain that's fancier than a shrimp on the barbie, this park is perfect for picnics, afternoon strolls, and pretending you're a statue. And if you happen to be a fan of pigeons, boy oh boy, you're in for a treat! These feathered friends love to strut their stuff around the park, daring you to try and catch them (hint: you won't).So if you want to experience the true essence of Newcastle, head on over to Civic Park and enjoy a day of fun, laughter, and maybe even a vegemite sandwich or two. Cheers mate!

A beautiful tree filled park in the centre of town. Great paths for bike riding and a spectacular fountain with glorious colourful flower beds in front. There's shady picnic spots for hot days and sunny spots for cool days and lots of memorial statues for pondering. It's a large park with a market held once a month.
