This is how a hospital should be run. Staff are incredible at all stages from administration all the way through to drs and wait times are low. Thank you for being caring and empathetic when I recently went through such a traumatic experience of loss

My husband's surgery got canceled with no new date and no paper work. We haven't been given the promise that the doctor will give us a call either. Their reasoning for canceling the surgery was 'Ran out of time, can't operate on you today'! The doctors were a joke, all the answers they have given us shows there is a very serious issue of communication amongst themselves. The doctor we spoke to told us, my husband will get operated the next day. Little did she know, my husband's doctor only works on Mondays!

On the 11th of May my husband was taken to the emergency at Concord Hospital by ambulance. He was later admitted to 5 North Ward. I cannot thank the Doctors Nurses in both areas enough for the care he received. The Ambulance and paramedic team who came to the house and lady l spoke to at 000 were also amazingly. I cannot thank them all enough.Ann Mauger

I was admitted to this hospital in 2016 and found the staff to be attentive helpful and very caring. You have to realise they have other patients to attend to and can't stand next to your bed all day but I never felt forgotten.Jump forward to 2023 and I'm now in the care of the ICON team and the oncology department. I have to visit every 3 weeks. I have found everyone to be helpful and caring just as my previous experience. In summary I've had operations, stayed in the ward, had radiation treatment, CT scans, PET scans, chemotherapy, blood tests... the list goes on. I've been treated well, cared for properly, and never picked up any secondary infections or anything like that. It's a great hospital filled with very caring staff. What it really needs is a multi storey carpark. Where are the NSW Government when you desperately need them?

I have read a lot of negative reviews on concord hospital site & feel disgusted. With the negativity of some people who criticise this hospital which is one of the best in Australia. My experience here are vast with heart & Kidney problems & recently a stroke which I spent near 8 weeks in hospital with first class care, food & doctors & plenty of occupational health & safety aftercare which got me back to normal. Most othe counties in our world only dream of having a hospital system like ours . Please people recognise & appreciate what we have

Thanks for giving me again the sense of smell! I feel amazing like if I was born again. At the beginning it was a traumatic experience going into surgery, the lights the surroundings. Wow!Then waking up from Anesthesia and seeing the principal next to me saying it was perfect the operation your nose didn't change!Stayed the night and beds are comfy the attention is good! The place super tidy and well very noisy because there was a dude that snored like a family of bears. But Ive got nice noise suppressors and fell asleep nicely.Next day the attention was better than expected.Today came for the revisions and I feel absolutely happy with the results, the attention and the humanity of the team.I'm glad to be in Australia, going out and smell the amazing Rain near autumn. Thanks again!

I have an appointment with Dr Pamela Howson at the breast clinic at 10:00 am today. It’s now 11:00 am and I am still waiting for her. I past her room and she had no patient at all, she was recording her previous case on the recording machine. So that’s ok to make people to wait over an hour! I worked in the health system before and recording is something doctors do after seeing patients not during! It’s bloody ridiculous

Michelle the ED doctor that took care of me yesterday was the most thorough, caring doctor I have ever met!!! Finding out I had severe hypertension and the care she took to look at everything was amazing. The nurses were all lovely and of course working their butts off. Much love to you all and the wonderful job you do ❤️

Worst emergency department I have ever visited. Waiting room was empty but still somehow waited 3.5 hours. Once seen, they didn't provide me with any fluids or appropriate pain relief. They Inserted a cannula for no reason, it wasn't even used.Couldn't even understand the Dr half the time. Dr asked me what treatment I'd like and what treatment I usually get as if she had no idea what to do. I Left feeling the same way as arrived. So i went to a different hospital, where I was actually treated. Don't visit here, it's a waste of time! Would give 0 stars if possible.

The worst hospital you can take your loved ones to.It was last Wednesday when my mother had a stroke and rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. The doctor on duty put her in a stroke ward. I got a call from the finance team of the hospital trying to pursuade me to go as a private patient and I said that I would let her know.I believe my mother should have had a ECG done as a matter of urgency as well as an MRI, which they failed to do.An ECG should not have been difficult to perform. They kept saying that they would do one as soon as the MRI machine became available, which to my surprise did not get done tillFriday afternoon and the bigger surprise came when they kicked us out of the hospital on the Friday evening saying that take her home.We were made to leave without any clear instructions and none of the doctors had the courtesy to explain the onward plan. The doctor on duty was Parastoo Jalilitabaei just came to the counter and passed on the reports to the nurse while I was standing there and did not deem it important to explain what was going on and why she was being discharged. Was it because we decided not to go as a private patient?????Neurologist, James Burrell did not think it was important to do the ECG????The guess work was left for us to work out why and how she had the stroke. After taking her to do an MRI and an ECG we discovered that there was a small area of restricted diffusion in the periventricular frontal lobe, and the ECG suggested that there was a abnormal rhythm in the heart which could have led to the diffusion hence causing the stroke. If I have to work all this (don’t know if my guesswork is correct or incorrect), then I might as well be a doctor myself.Shame on you Concord Hospital and the treating Doctors and Juniors.I decided to ring the Registrar of the Hospital and lodge a complaint but was put through to a MR Dale who was not present and I had to leave a message which I did but did not hear from him.Health NSW and the Minster for Health need to intervene as I have heard some shocking stories about Concord hospital after my experience.
