We escaped the tyre eating rock monsters and had a brilliant time. It’s is a tough slow trip to get to this park but it was so rewarding. Throw your phone away and enjoy being off the grid.

We did Cathedral and Piccaninny walk and also the Echidna Gorge walk. Definitely go on a guides tour you learning and see so much more.We stayed a night at Savannah Lodge which was wonderful. We did the helicopter ride over the Bungle Bungles which was breathtaking.I would thoroughly recommend this.

Awesome scenery and geology with several accommodation options. I stayed at both the National Park campgrounds and there are private commercial camping available also. Both campgrounds were nice with shade and good basic facilities (water and toilets only). All the walks are interesting but apart from Echinda Chasm there is little shade and it can be very hot so be prepared. It is a big park and takes a while to get to all the sites. The 50km drive in is pretty rough with several water crossings and has some steep winding sections and no caravans are allowed (yea!) but there is a van park on the turnoff. Allow about 2.5 hours to reach the entrance of the park.

if Uluru (Ayers rock) is about one rock - a very big rock, then Purnululu (The bungle bungles) is about many rocks - so many of rocks.we were here in last September, drove almost 3 hours from Kununurra via Victoria Hwy and Great Northern Hwy to the park access turn off - Spring Creek Track. The 53 km access track is rocky, Sandy and corrugated with some creek crossing, you need 4WD and 1.5~2.5 hours for this section, our Toyota Prado worked well and I felt easyer than driving around Fraser Island in QLD.we've stayed three nights in APT Wilderness lodge - Google marks two locations here on the map but both of them are wrong places, just fowllow the sign to Accommodation lodge" until you see the first car park on the left.we spent one+ day in Southern section of range - The Dome

This place was spectacular. Everything from the scenery on the way down from El Questro, to the fun of the 53km 4wd track in to the lovely campsite (Walardi)...was just the beginning. The gorges and the walks to Mini Palms and Echidna were unreal and the...the Domes themselves. Truly majestic. Sunrise over the Domes at first light plus sunset viewing near the Visitor centres are also truly amazing. And to think we nearly went from El Questro after the Gibb toward Darwin... Possibly the highlight of our 9 month trip around Australia.

What a spectacular place! I can finally cross it off my bucket list. The domes in the south were beautiful and we loved exploring the Cathedral. Echidna Chasm was a highlight - it was even deeper than I expected and the colours superb. The road in was great fun - we definitely had to use 4WD a number of times for rocky parts and river crossings (one was up to the skirts). The public camp ground was clean and tidy but there were heaps of ants.

Really awesome.Spectacular! Striped domes in a magical and tranquil atmosphere creating a maze of paths and wending walks to explore. Eroded riverbeds form natural walking paths.4wd must.Sunrise from the lookout is a must, stunning colours. The amphitheatre is incredible with stunning acoustics.Bring as much as water in there.
