Can't go wrong for a stroll or in my case, wedding photography. The mowing guy is a top bloke too, met him at the pub. Grounds are well looked after.

Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens
What an awesome collection of plants and wildlife. A great day was had looking through the lens of my camera. The way the gardens are laid out makes it so easy to get a look at everything in an easy flowing order. I’ve attached a few snaps taken on my phone.I totally recommend spending a couple of hours here. Either bring a picnic or grab a bite at the cafe.

I visit very regularly to walk our doggo, & enjoy the peace, as well as watching the different flowering things that change seasonally, alibg with butterflies, birds, etc

Very disappointing.Massive area, so untidy, Cafe is closed (school holidays, tourists season), no where you can sit and rest during all walking tracks .It's be nice , if Cafe closed , have alternative options like picnic area?Definitely not want back for another day.Pity.

There is plenty of convenient parking. A large area of open parkland and walking tracks. There is a café in the park as well.

Enjoyable walk with lots of shade. Be aware of mosquitoes late afternoon and early mornings. Lots of other friendly walkers.
