This is one of Queensland's greatest assets. Beautiful place, absolutely fantastic that we have the ability to access the Thorsborne trail without the crowds

Beautiful world heritage Island. The Thorsborne trail is a must for keen fit hiking enthusiasts. 32 klm hike over three and half days. Camping on beautiful sandy beaches and fresh water lagoons and rivers, set amongst rainforest and mountain scapes and wildlife.

One of the best places I've ever hiked in my life-- there's a four-day trek you can do along the length of the nearly-deserted island, past huge butterflies, sharp trees, orchids, mountain ponds, and more.

Zoe Bay, on Hichenbrook Island, the most beautiful place on the East Coast of Australia. Zoe Bay falls are a must see

Lovely 4 day camping trip. Parks and wildlife could have mowed the designated camping area tho.

The best hike I've done anywhere! It's a challenge. But also a pleasure. Do your research and have a good chat with the national park service. Not something you just do on a whim. You have to pay and it's one way: north to south or vice versa. I prefer the south to north journey. Have done the track 5 times and tried to do a stop at different points to have a new experience. Never been disappointed.

Throsbourn trail is a must for avid hikers. 4 nights 5 days minimum recommended but take an extra day if time permits. Spectacular scenery, waterfalls and swimming holes to rival the best. This island is totally unspoilt as nature would have it.

My first hike, after countless day trips and short walks around the country. And what a way to introduce me to hiking. The Thorsborne Trail is not to be missed. It was a good mix of challenging and relaxing, and most definitely rewarding - particularly when spending a rest day at Zoe Bay (and swimming at the stunning Zoe Falls) after the hard slog from Little Ramsey. It seemed like every 5 minutes of walking had you in a new biome - vegetation constantly changing around you. One minute you're squelching through mangrove swamps, and the next you're walking through paperbark trees.Mangroves, beaches, waterfalls, granite mountains - this place has it all, and the walk certainly never gets boring.I'll be recommending this walk for years to come, and will likely bring someone along to do it with me again someday (after having done it solo this week). If you can, spend more than the minimum recommend time there. 4+ nights, and you'll get to enjoy it much more.
