Emerald Airport

Well set up, plenty of comfy seats. Easy to park. Easy to get to exit.

Hands down worst airport in Aus. If you can make the journey to the next towns airport I would highly recommend. Hungry? Forget about it there’s no food only a vending machine that barely works. Need to send a text? Forget about it there’s near to no reception. Delayed flight? You’ll get no updates here. Want Qantas lounge access? There is rarely any food or drinks stocked up just a small lounge that smells like armpits. 0/10 would not recommend.

Yeh not too bad! Used to love bending the arm at the bar and having a few golds with mates on the way to Brisbane. Unfortunately the bar/canteen closed due to covid so I must travel parched, yearning a cold one.The staff are nice and the security check isn’t a hassle even for me. The recent renovations are nice but man that long term parking can be weird. Sometimes there aren’t enough parks and I done seen some people park in places that aren’t parks! What silly gooses!!!

Perfectly acceptable regional airport.Parking is a bit expensive and would be nice if you could get staff outside normal business hours

02/03/2023 :I had a horrible experience at Emerald Airport. I have composite shoes and sections at my ankles showed up on the screen and I said, it is my reflectors on the pants. This was strongly dismissed by security staff ISS and lady checking me. I have been wearing these shows for a year now and had not been asked to take them off before on any other occasion at Emerald nor on any other national Airport. I took them off and went through again and the same sections on the screen came on (at my ankles) due to the reflectors. I pointed this out to security staff and they came up with all sorts of excuses and insisted it was still my shoes (which does not make sense). And another gentlemen behind me got through the screens with his composite shoes on and he did not raise the alarm as he had no reflectors on his jeans. I asked for the security lady's name and she wouldn't give it to me and directed me to her supervisor. The supervisor started You have been rude to my staff" and I said calmly

Just drove for 9 hrs and called in @ the airport just on 4 pm and no place anywhere you could get a coffee or a snack or anything.What a jokeNot happy Jan.

Missed a plane because not notified check in had started or closed .Only notified of last call to board . Too late

Great little regional airport. Clean and tidy. Airport staff were friendly and helpful.Keep in mind, the Airport Kiosk does not accept American Express for any corporate travellers. Only found out after returning rental car so left a little hungry.

Excellent regional airport. Good access, plenty of parking, no hassle.
