Alpana Station

Our Short Stay at Alpana Station was incredible & we just wish we could have stayed longer. The family who runs Alpana are absolutely lovely; such easy going, kind, genuine people! We stayed in the Horseyards Campground at the ‘East End’ and couldn’t recommend it higher!!! It is completely private/secluded, you feel like you have the whole of Flinders to yourself! Beautiful views of the mountains there also. A bonus is there is a very clean/well kept long drop Toilet at each site, with a view too! We will 100% be back and urge everyone to put Alpana Station on their list of must do when in Flinders. Thanks so much for an amazing stay.

We had a fantastic 6 night stay on the powered ensuite site next to the creek. Fantastic facility. We enjoyed everything about our stay, from the greats hosts (thank you Sally), the location, the delivery of fires wood and a few nightly fires, it all added up to a great 5 days. Even though we didn't take up the option of a station 4wd trip, there was still plenty on offer both at and out side the station. Its location meant we could access the many sites in the area, including the Blinman mine trip (highly recommended) and the towns cafe. Simply Alpana is highly recommended.

I did one of Sally's 4WD trips to Blinman Pools with a few mates. Sally did a fabulous job of explaining the history of the property, the farming practices, the livestock, native and feral animals, the flora and other natural features that are found on the property. We even enjoyed pleasant walk down to the Blinman Pools where Sally provided us with a terrific lunch. I highly recommend doing one of Sally's tours of Alpana Station.

A beautiful station with fantastic amenities. Definitely do the 'tag-a-long' tour with Sally, she's a wealth of knowledge about the family's station history and that of Blinman. We had a geological education and an experience we won't forget.

We stayed at Alpana Station for two nights and wished we had stayed longer. It was the highlight of our Flinders Ranges getaway! We were in a caravan and stayed at the powered 'Trees' location which was both private and had a fantastic outlook. Alpana limits the number of guests so there is plenty of space! It's very much the station experience which is what we wanted.Our host Sally couldn't have been more helpful with both station activities and things to do close by. Our kids loved feeding the farm animals and heading out on the property's 4WD tracks.Blenheim is a short 5 minute drive away with a pub and the 'Crib' bakery with must have Cornish pasties and the best coffee! We loved the Copper Mine tour too.

Spent the night passing through. Great campsite and privacy with very friendly service. Will be back for a longer stay.

The mt Samuel track was amazing, even though it took us 14 hours because my mates custom dodge ram struggled to get through some of the narrow gaps. The place looks amazing at night, I would do it again for sure. Sally was very lovely to talk to and the motorbike guys were very helpful.

We stayed at Horse-yards camp-site, away from it all. Surrounded by nature and serenity. If you have a 4WD make sure you do the Mt Samuel Track - just stunning, allow plenty of time as the views deserve to be fully admired.Sally and David went above and beyond when they found us stranded roadside with car issues and helped us get on the road again.We will be back!
