Powershop is amazing. Great app, great customer service, 100% carbon neutral, and hour-by-hour tracking of your usage.Highly recommend them.

Like many other reviewers, I discovered that Power Shop initially advertised a lower price on comparison websites but then raised prices once we signed up. We are still able to maintain our carbon neutrality while making this switch and saving 37% compared to our previous rate with Power Shop. Never put your faith in them! Don't take the Canstar Blue reviews at face value, either, despite the fact that they were given a high rating.

I wish i could provide a zero star review to Powershop. Last year in August they paused my power bill without alerting me. When I noticed (in November) that i hadn't been charged for 3 months of power I called to enquire as to why my direct debit had been paused. Not only could they not tell me why they had paused my billing, they also refused to tell me when my billing would resume. They ended up serving me an $800 power bill. In order to budget correctly it is important that i am billed monthly, and as such, a direct monthly debit was set up when i originally signed up with powershop. This was to mitigate large, overwhelming bills. When i expressed to them that their unexplained pause had put me in a position of financial hardship, i was essentially ignored. Also, they position themselves as a conscious energy provider" yet they're owned by Shell. Don't let their marketing team bamboozle you with their greenwashing ways. they're terrible"

Very happy with Solar plan - NSW - 2218.Great app.Currently at least 20% cheaper compared to big providers.

Never thought I would write a very positive review for a power company however powershop customer service has been really great. Assisting with a difficult smart meter installation and very helpful staff when asking questions about different EV plan options etc.Power all comes from the same poles and wires but their customer service is what makes them special.My only negative is their app could show more information finer details on usage and cost and allow you to zoom in on hours of the day and split peak, shoulder times into different colours. Small negative really.

I signed up around 3 months ago and they have now sent me a rate increase notice. Daily supply charge increase by around 37% and usage charge increased by approx 22% per kWh. Not impressed and extremely disappointed. I completely understand that most companies are increasing prices but I’m shocked by the HUGE increases with Powershop! I’ve signed up with another provider who are much cheaper!

This review is based on my own experience with dealing with this company. I am the administrator of our late mothers deceased property and estate Powershop have illegally disconnected I believe to our mothers property without consent or prior notice or knowledge from the administrator. I intend on making a formal complaint with the electricity ombudsman.I have just reconnected with energy Australia I highly recommend energy Australia as they are the cheapest company recommended by compare the market.Powershop I now give you this ⭐️

These guys understand how WOEFUL banks are, and that I am currently unable to pay my electricity, all due to @NAB AUSTRALIA.I respect you, and you trust me. I could not ask for more.The kicker? I'm not a victim of fraud, I'm ACCUSED of fraud (without cause) four times in 7 days by NAB bank.You'll be paid, as soon as I have access to my own money.

Sold off to Shell by Meridian Energy. Shell doing the usual corporate cost cutting. Customer service is dead. They don't retail gas any more. The innovative Power Pack model is gone and they've lost their top spot in the GreenPeace Green Electricity Guide. Still have best in class tech platform but that will atrophy as they gut the dev teams and milk the acquisition for cash. Momentum Energy at #2 on the Green Electricity Guide is your best bet: retails both electricity and gas and has the best tech platform and customer service amongst the Victorian retailers. Looking forward to having the State Electricity Commission back the Liberal Jeff Kennett Scam Bazaar we call the Retail Electricity Market.

Beyond disappointed with your service. Put in a request that I was moving house and needed my gas changed over to my new address on the 13/02. Didn’t get a call back until 22/02, in which I missed the phone call as I was at work but replied to the email within 6 minutes of it being sent, telling them to call me back at 5:30 once I had finished work as they asked me when they could call. They didn’t call back until 6pm 24/02, the evening BEFORE I’m moving to just tell me they can’t transfer my gas as it’s a new policy, even though I’m an existing customer? That now leaves me with out gas in my new house for 6 days, because a new company needs 3 business days to connect and can’t do it on the weekend. I can’t even fathom how inconvenient and unprofessional the service I have received is.
