Simpson Falls Picnic Area
Outstanding location for a day out with the family! Great BBQ facilities and newly built ablutions along with undercover picnic tables and tables out in the open. The creek is an ideal place to let the kids explore and for those looking to climb Mount Coot-Tha, there are track options as well. Can't go wrong!

Simpson Falls Picnic Area
Surprisingly extensive picnic area located at the base of Mount Coot-tha and beside dry creek bed. Extensive BBQ, picnic, toilet facilities and car parking. Good set off point for walking/ jogging trails (maps available at Summit lookout and Botanical Gardens). Trails includes steps and parts of the trails are rocky.

Simpson Falls Picnic Area
An enjoyable short walk up to the falls. Less than an hour at a very leisurely pace, depending on where parked. Not too steep and some nice views of the city from the bridge at the top. Dogs allowed on leash, and there’s plenty of BBQ facilities, benches and toilets not too far from the car park.

Great facilities, clean toilets and a fantastic walking tracks for adults, kids dogs and what ever in between. Cute little art installations and information plaques to inform the casual walker on native Aussie Flora and Fauna.

Picnic area is great. Heaps of space for kids and dogs to run about. There are BBQ spots covered tables and toilets so great for a family get together or party. Please note that if you are going to see the Falls" they are only running when it rains. To be honest I wouldn't call them falls. It is just a gully that fills when it rains. This goes for all the "Falls" around Mount Coot-tha. It is a great area for walking and biking though. Not very challenging but still a nice area to go to that is in the bush and close to the city."

Always well kept and less patroned than other Mt Coot-tha parks. Great creek - look out for old headstones that have been used to line the creek.

Nice and quiet area with all amenities you need for a good family time. There are couple short tracks as well.

Simpson Falls Picnic Area
Well cared for hiking trails and picnic area, really good parking as well during weekday mornings. The circuit takes around 1 hour or a shorter walk to bridge over waterfall area around 30 mins. Definitely a hidden gem in Brisbane, finish your walk with a coffee at Mt Cootha Gardens. You need reasonable fitness for the 1 hour walk.

Very tidy park with plenty of covered areas an BBQs. Some good walking tracks and the falls are great after rain. Toilets are very clean.

Simpson Falls Picnic Area
Good picnic spot near Brisbane. A good off leash area for the kids. A little creek bounds one half and they can explore for hours.
