Food FX Catering

I have never had an experience quite quite as fantastic as the experience with food FX catering. Sharon and Jerry are an absolute pleasure but pale in comparison to the food. TO DIE FOR!! Cannot recommend enough

FoodFX Catering is absolutely brilliant. My initial encounter with FoodFX Catering was about a year ago in 2016 when attending a friend's wedding celebration where the food was plentiful, very tasty and catered to special dietary requirements. This prompted me to engage FoodFX twice for my own parties - the first time for a finger food party with around 50 guests and because they did such an excellent job of this, my husband and I hired them to provide the food at our wedding reception in August 2017, a sit down meal for over 40 guests at our house. We thought we were getting a caterer but we got so much more - Jerry, the owner, provided me with heaps of brilliant advice not only on menu choices but also on room set up, equipment hire etc. Jerry and his wife Sharon are very experienced at running the catering side of events and their suggestions were incredibly helpful. Then on the day of our wedding Sharon came around to help with setting up the tables and her attention to detail was wonderful. See the attached photos of the tables and the food. Jerry managed all arrangements with wait staff, bar staff etc, all of them were brilliant on the day and we got heaps of compliments about the three course meal. It's particularly impressive that Jerry and his team managed to deliver this in my domestic kitchen, without excessive waiting time between courses, with alternate drops for both starter and main, to over 40 people. I highly recommend FoodFX Catering to you; they made the catering for our wedding something that we and our guests will remember for all the right reasons.NB the photo of the beef wellington is one that Jerry specifically made gluten free at my request. He advised me beforehand that the gluten free pastry would not look as good as the others and I said to go ahead anyway. It's a pity that I don't have a photo of all the other plates of beef wellington as they were with normal pastry and looked amazing. For the meal Jerry ended up accommodating vegetarians and gluten intolerant people with different meal requests to everyone else, and the wait staff delivered exactly the right meal to everyone.

Outstanding service from Jerry at Food FX. Jerry catered for a sit down dinner for 35 people in my home and the night was a big success. Everyone loved the food and Jerry and his service staff made the evening run smoothly. Excellent food and excellent service. Highly recommend.

We have used Food FX Catering twice now and WOW these guys are fabulous, consistent with their product and service. The food is always presented beautifully and scrumptious. Jerry is always a delight to host our events and our clients are always impressed with our catering provided. Thank you Jerry and Sharon for making our events so successful.

Jerry recently catered at our in home party for my husband’s 80th birthday.I cannot thank him enough for the amazing canapés, which everyone enjoyed immensely , and the smooth flow of the dishes throughout the evening. I can only highly recommend him to anyone wanting to have someone do their catering. A big thank you once again.

Good website. Easy booking process and communication.Jerry and Sharon have a delicious array and variety of food for many different types of occasions. To walk back into a spotlessly clean kitchen afterwards was priceless. Highly recommended.

I have now experienced Jerry and Sharon's cooking and baking twice, once when Jerry was on site cooking, and once when he dropped the cooked food off to us. The quality of food was superb both times.However two things stood out for me:1) Jerry's organisational skills - everything had been thought out, packaged neatly and safely, and heating instructions written. This made entertaining for us so easy.2) Sharon is the best pastry chef I have ever come across.They are also very reasonably priced.

Just a quick note to express my thanks for the wonderful catering job you did for my birthday celebrations. There were many positive oohs and aahs on the night, and even today I am still receiving messages commenting on how good the food was. It was exactly what I was wanting in beautiful party food.I particularly want to thank you for the extra effort you made not only to accommodate the dietary requirements of invited guests and a two year old, but also the exceptional food to make sure our late-stand-in guest was also looked after. That was amazing and greatly appreciated by myself and Erin.

I highly recommend Sharon and Gerry for your next function. My husbands 40th was a huge success with many people complimenting the food. I ordered canapés which were delivered to my door and easily assembled and heated for my guests.For any event large or small hosted at home, I will be contacting Food Fx.Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We couldn’t have been more delighted with the food and service provided by Jerry from Food FX Catering on the occasion of my husband’s 70th birthday party. From my first contact with Jerry right up until he departed out home after our party, his professionalism, friendliness, helpfulness and attention to detail was first class. He gave sound advice about what would work best for the type of function I had in mind, was flexible, efficient, responsive and reliable. He began work in my kitchen with an absolute minimum of fuss and produced delicious top class food before packing up and leaving our house as if he had never been there. We received and continue to receive so many compliments from our guests and will definitely use Food FX Catering again if we have the opportunity. We were surprised at the affordability of our catering experience and were also impressed with Jerry’s ability to engage in friendly chat with any our guests who approached him in the kitchen.
