Caravan broke while we were there (first day) but was fun getting there and having a quick look around before going back to civilisation for repairs

Mexican Hat Camping
Only stayed overnight cause of the storm and it was extremely windy. We still loved it though.Stunning views.

Very beautiful here but booking required for overnight camping (Ranger visited today, all ok). Toilet is very clean and operational.Around 8 spots available, all are great but open to the elements (this is not a caravan park it's isolated and bring all supplies).

Camping at designated camp sites, not like it was years ago. Only one long drop available if needed, but clean and tidy when we used it, but was a fair way from our camp site. A permit is needed which we had but is was disappointing to see the grey nomads with their dogs pulling up for a few nights in non designated areas, there is plenty of signs around to let you know how to book in and camp legally. We cleaned up several campers rubbish after they left,.......... they keep this up the park will be closed for camping.

Mexican Hat Camping
Beautiful, isolated campsite. Long drop toilet available but otherwise need to be self sufficient. Google maps took us along the dry access only route. Would recommend against this path, given there is a much easier straight road available. If you do take it, make sure you drop your tyre pressure.
