Down South Party Hire

Keith and his team at Down South Party Hire were a dream to work with. We initially had a marquee booked for an engagement party when COVID struck and Keith worked with us to reschedule everything for our wedding in March the following year. He provided lots of advice on the amount of equipment needed and how to best set up our garden wedding with the marquee. He allowed us to have the perfect wedding setup and I would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of using them for an event. Could not find a better company to deal with.

Hired some stuff for our wedding, everything went to plan, the guys were awesome and extremely helpful, would definitely recommend.

Literally saved me from having to cancel my much wanted 30th birthday by being able to supply a marquee last minute for my party Saturday just gone. The only company that called back and tried to help me and I am just so appreciative because it saved the day! I know how lucky I was to get it as I basically got told it was the last one in Adelaide so thank you Keith and team because of you I was able to enjoy my brilliant night!

These guys went above and beyond to make sure our Special Day was completely covered.They answered all my questions no problems at all and there were a few.We had our Wedding at Belair National Park on Saturday 11th September. They delivered our equipment on time and then picked up same day on time. Made our day so less complicated. Would 100% recommend these guys for any party hire needs. They are amazing.

Edit: so as per your 'normal' cancellation policy, even if the business decides to cancel, the consumer has to endeavour the charges? I understand that the situation with Covid-19 affects your business, but there is no reason as to why your customers should be out of pocket for it.Received a call stating that they have been exposed to covid and I won't be able to proceed with the hire for my chairs and table on Saturday (it is Wednesday as I am writing this). Obviously this is understandable and a fair reason. However it is not a fair reason to not refund me my booking fee. The cancellation policy states a minimum of 7 days notice is required for cancelling a booking or fees apply. Why does this not apply both ways?Appalling customer service.

Keith is very good at what he does. He was able to turn all of my ideas into practical plans, and never made anything feel too hard. He is very experienced and was even there on the day to set up my wedding himself. He has a very good reputation, lovely staff, and very clean/high quality and reliable service and products at a very competitive price. Would definitely use him again.

Keith was an absolute legend to work with! Kept us in the loop about all sorts and was so easy to communicate with while we made changes or decision about our wedding marquee. Highly, highly recommend Down South Party Hire!

Was extremely happy with the service I recieved when speaking with the female. However I informed the people I won't be home on the day of collection due to having to leave Adelaide for a funeral in Melbourne but that all will still be fine for collection Tuesday as I had a friend with my key around the corner. Comes to Tuesday and I'm in the service recieving a call. When returning the call he stated the guys were halfway back as I wasn't home. I apologised and explained I thought I would have had a call with the time ect or at least to warn me they were on their way as I wasn't home for the guy to respond if we had to call everybody to tell them we were coming we would be in the phone all day. We'll how's about stating a rough time on the invoice or do you expect people to be home all day those days. Considering it was known that I wouldn't actually be home that day. The rudeness I recieved considering I just told him I was at a funeral was disgusting. I will not be going through this place again and it's unfortunate as the lady was lovely.

Never again. Went in over two months ago to check what I needed to do to confirm supplies would be available today for a 100th birthday surprise. On that day, after initially being told to remove my Assistance dogs from the shop, was assured everything would be available on the 8th of Jan 22. When I went in today to get balloons etc, leaving AD's in the car to avoid any abuse, was told that the helium tanks were all out. The older female staff member accused me of being wrong with my arrangement, and went as far as ringing the male I had spoken to 2 months previously. He advised that he couldn't remember the conversation. both time I have been there I have been met by bluntness and aggressive attitudes. The younger girls was very polite but the two senior people just outright rude. I wanted to give a local shop my support in these tight times but went to a big brand place instead after this and saved myself over 100 dollars in the process
