Merrick's Noosa Learn to Surf

One of the funnest experiences I had while visiting my daughter and family in Noosa, Australia. The staff was very knowledgeable and through their instructions, all 5 in our party got up and successfully rode a wave. At 62, I wasn't too steady but Instructor Rob never failed to encourage me and was so patient while trying to help me. It made me so happy to see my grandchildren, daughter and son-in-law do so well and their happy faces let me know we made a great choice.

Our family of 5 had the pleasure of a beginner surf lesson on December 16 2022. We were at the end of the day at a busy time of year so I thought there would be not a lot of actual being able to catch waves. I was so wrong… these guys were so incredibly talented at their jobs that we all, including 17 year old son, were completely exhausted with huge smiles. The staff could not have been more professional, amusing, patient and fun. We all felt like we were treated with such respect and felt safe the whole time. Absolutely loved this whole experience and would recommend this team to anyone.

We had a great time ! Thank you so much. My parents are visiting from Japan and my dad, 70, wanted to give a surfing go.. so we booked a private lesson. The person who I spoke with for booking was so assuring and answered all my questions, helping me feel comfortable going ahead with the booking. It was so amazing to see my dad having a a fantastic time and so grateful CJ being super nice and patient. If anyone wants to give a surfing go, I would highly recommend here! Thank you again

Having never surfed before, and in fact having not much prior experience with the ocean, I signed up for a 5-day surfing course with my partner and friends as a personal challenge. I set myself the goal of being comfortable in the water with a board and being able to pop up, but I far surpassed my expectations. Under the instruction of Crawford, by the end of the five days I was catching green waves independently and turning! Crawford was a phenomenal teacher, providing individualised feedback and encouragement, and teaching us many important things not just about surfing, but also the ocean and how to pick a board. Crawford and everyone else at Merrick's surf school were so friendly and approachable, and we really enjoyed chatting with everyone before and after classes. Can't recommend this surf school enough!

An awesome afternoon spent getting trained in safety awareness and out in the water with two fantastic instructors. They were patient and just all round great blokes. This was my second occasion taking lessons here and when I return to Oz, I will be booking again. Great value for money and would highly recommend for all at different levels from never having surfed before and those who may have done it before. 5 stars all round and thank you for a great afternoon.

We went for a team building exercise and it was SO MUCH FUN! The instructors were super knowledgeable and made us all feel safe and comfortable. The way the instructors communicated made a complex skill easy to understand. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience! Everything was so well organised, amazing value for money and the instructors were so helpful and encouraging. I was a complete beginner and by the end of the lesson, I felt so much more confident and had such an incredible time surfing. Thank you so much for such an amazing morning!

The surfboard hire service should be removed from his advertising!The day before we asked a very kind instructor about the possibility of the advertised board rental, since we didn't necessarily need a supervised surfing lesson. He gave us the information that we should appear at a certain time the next day when the surf school begins with the lessons in the presence of the boss. There are more than enough boards available, so we don't have to book or pay anything in advance.When we showed up at the specified time the next morning, we were again greeted very nicely by another instructor. He referred us to the boss to pay for the loan.Unfortunately, the owner didn't have to greet us, stop with us or look at us. He fed us with an annoyed We don't have any boards today. A lot of people booked a surf lesson today and we're just stressed. There are 20 board rentals in the area
