Best Friends Pets Northland

If you have a toy poodle and like a teddy bear cut I would highly recommend not using best friends.I showed pictures of what I was after and was very descriptive with my expectations.4.5 hours later no-one had phoned me to let me know he was ready. He was the last dog sitting in a cage. The staff weren't sure why I hadn't been contacted. Not only was I disappointed to not have been contacted I was disappointed with the cut. A real rush job. At $89 you hope you'd get what you asked for...

Rude service, especially from the male staff member behind the checkouts who seems to determine your ability to speak english and responsibly own pets from your ethnic appearance. Dropped in to get a few quick things but changed my mind after the patronising attitude given by staff.

I visited the Northland Store yesterday to have my Great Dane Clifford get his nails trimmed - he suffer terribly with separation anxiety and when I book him in for the nail trim I make the staff aware - never had a problem getting a quick appointment and you are always greeted with a friendly welcome. The two staff members that have to tend to Clifford (yes two) are and were fantastic with him - they are always patient with him and treat him in such a loving and caring manner - cannot fault them at all - they are a credit to the store - it’s the same every time I come in - I also get my Cocker Spaniel done there also - many thanks for making my time and nervous Clifford’s time there a delight plus love buying a treat for the dogs as I leave - cheers - very reasonably priced for a nail clip also compared to other places.

Really lovely and helpful staff that often go above and beyond to find what you need. The dog groomers are mostly great too.

I love this store. The staff are friendly and helpful and the store is well set out. I have a cat and have bought a new cat scratcher post and been introduced to new cat litter, as well as the usual pet food. I always get good service so its my go to pet shop.

Amazing store. Very clean and tidy. Wide variety of food, treats, toys, leads/collars and beds for dogs. Will absolutely be my go to store for my puppy

Terrible service, aggressive staff. Ignored for more than 10 minutes and then verbally attacked by one of the grooming staff after asking about the welfare of my dog. Will never go back there. Since being taken over by petstock, it has changed. They constantly overbook and then leave your animal in a cage for hours. If I could leave minus stars, I would. I would advise not to use the grooming service there. If they treat their customers that bad, I hate to think what they do to the animals they are supposed to look after.

Wow, this place is pet heaven on steroids. A large, spaciously laid out store with plenty of room to navigate your way around. Pets are welcome to come inside.There are a number of sections such as pet grooming, puppy school, vet and so much more. There are animals to look or buy but do know staff are very protective of their pets and so do know you need to be a dedicated animal lover to purchase an animal from here.Birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, hermit crabs, foster felines and more.All possible products relating to any of these are available. Food, leashes, bedding, toys etc etc. everything you want under one roof.Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Great parking.Staff are exceptionally nice and extremely dedicated.

Arrived at best friends without an appointment and straight away was made to feel super relaxed. Staff were very friendly and Dr Omid the vet was super caring towards my injured dog and myself. Highly recommend to anyone to take your sick fur babies here
