Hillview Heritage Hotel

Such a nice location and estate. The sculptures around the grounds made for an excellent exploring opportunity! We were in cottage 3, the room itself was a little dated but was just fine. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, owner was very responsive and helpful.

The included breakfast consists of cartons of milk, juice and packets of cereal, unfortunately not to our expectation.The place is certainly heritage as advertised however my sinuses did not appreciate the old carpet smell, ended up moving some carpets to a separate room.After checking the bad reviews on Booking, the issues raised were much the same as I experienced.

Loved it. Was perfect for us as a couple to have the extra space. The views awesome, lovely to stroll around and view all the sculptures - that was an unexpected surprise.We had a lovely picnic (self supplied) on the grass outside enjoying the views.As I was vegan, they were very accommodating by providing soy milk and coconut yoghurt as part of the breakfast hamper supplies.Another plus is staying somewhere quite, away from what has become the 'main hustle and bustle' of Bowral/Mittagong etc; yet so close to all of those for the main tourist strips for shops/restaurants etc

Some of the nicest views I have seen at any accommodation in Australia. This is a heritage property once used by the governors of NSW as a summer residence. We were in cottage 7 which had the amazing views just in front. The cottages are rather rustic as you might expect. The size of our cottage was huge. The sculpture park around the grounds is really lovely and takes at least an hour to explore on foot. Note the included breakie is supplied in the fridge and is not delivered. The English muffins, cereal with coffee and tea and butter and jam were more than adequate.

What a beautiful place to stay! The cottage we had was so charming, and the grounds were quiet and lovely. There are lots of sculptures to check out, and the views are terrific. The owner/manager was really nice and friendly too :)

Amazing Property perched atop a hill with magnificent views sweeping in all directions. Magical place to watch the sunset (or rise). Would love to wander the sculpture garden on a full moon.Place feels wonderfully remote, but is perfectly situated a short drive south of Moss Vale and north of Sutton Forest Pub!Will be back soon.

Magnificent grand estate full of charm and character. We enjoyed accommodation with ample space including three large rooms and kitchenette. The breakfast supplied with a range of cereals, muffins and jams was more than enough and the heaters and quality bedding ensure a warm night. We walked through the grounds, spotted kangaroos and rabbits and enjoyed the serene quiet and panoramic views. Highly recommended

The ambiance was authentic to the original build, it was a joy to stay here. The services were good, and the views, artworks and private courtyard were amazing.

Dishonest owner placed my family in the wrong (downgraded) room to the one we booked online. It was only when I raised this that he said he had checked in another couple into the room we booked and asked if we would be happy to move to the correct room the next day (noting the correct room was much bigger with a balcony and nice views) I obliged assuming there would be a form of compensation not only for the downgraded room but for the inconvenience of unpacking, repacking, transferring and unpacking into the new room (with a 1 year old). After weeks of back and forth with the owner and booking.com, no compensation has been provided. We will not be returning.
