Quite location with minimal traffic to deal with. Great walking paths along the beach front and walking tracks around the headland. Beach House Cafe has a terrific atmosphere although meal prices are slightly higher than the average meal you would pay elsewhere.

One of the kids' favourite place to run, play water or build a sand castle. It is bit windy, but the kids love it.

Picturesque beach south of Hobart. There's a nice Cafe that overlooks the beach that is nice to stop for a coffee and cake or light lunch. It was too cold for us to swim here but very pleasant walking along the beach amongst to friendly seagulls.

Great place to swim, snorkel and enjoy waves when the conditions are right. Fantastic beach for the whole family with rocks to explore and a blowhole to find. It is a little difficult to get to the blowhole from the beach and there can be some older children hanging around that makes it not so desirable for younger children to explore on their own.

Fancy beach, lots of water, lots of sand. Windy, sunny, food options limited. Nice for a walk.
