Excellent place to visit, what a trip over the sand hills. It's remote. Recommend 2way radio.

Iconic landmark, there isn't much to see here however there is plenty to see and experience on the way to and from here. We did Simpson Desert in June 2022 in all-wheel-drive vehicles and had no issues west to east. See our entire trip from Frankston VIC to Birdsville QLD on YouTube just search All Terrain Action Simpson Desert. Enjoy!

Corner where NT, QLD and SA meet. The explorer Poeppel wrongly marked the corner (he was a surveyor sent by the SA government from Adelaide) by 300m. The original wooden post has been relocated to a museum in Adelaide and what stands there now is a concrete post. Pretty special when you come to it crossing a huge salt pan at the eastern edge of the Simpson.
