My Dell laptop was working, but would not work unless it was plugged in, after I had replaced the battery myselfAfter paying 35$ to see if the battery was not installed correctly/see if there is an easy fix - they tried to convince me that my charger was not working? Despite it working that very morning while I was doing work on it? And still worked after?They wanted to take my Dell charger and sell me their one - and today whatever they did inside the laptop won't even start up anymore after 1 year of it working fine when plugged inI will now have to go to another computer repair group who know what they are doing to fix their mistakesIn terms of computer repair I would not recommend this place

I took my Galaxy S21 Ultra To Phone Mechanic to replace the screen protector, which cracked after I dropped it. The screen protector was supplied and installed by this business almost a year ago, so I had confidence they could replace it. I waited nearly 30 minutes while the technician replaced the protector – he commented on how strongly affixed it was to the screen. I paid $45 for the replacement.Just 16 DAYS after the replacement, the new screen protector started to detach from the screen (photo attached). I brought it back to Phone Mechanic and asked that it be replaced at no cost, as it clearly hadn’t been securely affixed. The man I spoke to told me that this can happen when the phone is dropped – but I didn’t drop it. He informed me that the screen protector is not covered by a guarantee and refused to replace it free of charge.My understanding of the Australian Consumer Law is that this service/product should be covered by a consumer guarantee, and I should have been entitled to a free replacement, given that the product/service I paid for failed after a couple of weeks (either the product itself was not fit for purpose or the service was not done to the correct standard).Rather than accept any responsibility or apologise to his customer for the substandard work that was done, he AGAIN suggested that the detachment had occurred as a result of dropping the phone, even after I expressly told him that wasn’t the case. Failing to abide by the Australian Consumer Law is one thing but insinuating that your customer is at fault for your own shoddy work or product is seriously bad business practice.I went to a reputable competitor yesterday and had the screen protector replaced. The technician applied minimal upward pressure and the whole thing came off – it hadn’t been properly affixed! The technician also showed me that the screen protector Phone Mechanic selected interferes with the fingerprint sensor, and it only has adhesive along the outer perimeter of the glass, meaning that there is nothing securing the protector anywhere else. This is not the same screen protector Phone Mechanic installed the first time and it seems to have been a poor choice for my phone model.The technician from the competitor business assured me that if there were any issues with the screen protector over the next month, they would absolutely fix it free of charge, regardless of the fact that the screen protector itself doesn’t come with a guarantee – now that’s good customer service.As other reviewers have pointed out, Phone Mechanic has a history of not taking responsibility for their mistakes and it is the customer who ends up paying. I will never use their services again – certainly not when there are better businesses that offer more competitive rates and superior customer service.

The staff was very friendly and approachable. Listen to my phone issue and fixed it within the short period of time I had during my break. They are really good and reliable.

My pixel 6 was screen was replaced same day and for a cheaper price than the other phone repairs in the area. Nice guy too, would reccomend!

Absolutely attrocious. Don't use them. I called on a Sunday morning to confirm they could fix a broken lens cover on my phone. They said yes, so I made my way there. When I arrived they told me I'd have to wait two days to order the part. A little annoyed, I agreed anyway, and paid.They then contacted me at lunch time on the Tuesday to tell me their supplier sent the wrong part, and they would express ship it, which would take... Three more days. When the original part took two to arrive. Express? Ok. Sure.I heard nothing from them unless I called to follow up. The part didn't arrive on Friday, which I only found out when I told them I was on my way to the store.8 days after my original contact, and again only after I asked for an update at 4:00pm today they tell me Hi sir

Very quick and easy service. Was so happy that I was able to be served and treated with respect. Would recommend to use this store for all mobile needs. Definently going again if I run into any problems.
