Great value for money, cheapest bike hire on the island. All the gear is in great condition and well looked after. The Wilson's customer service is impeccable. Highly recommend for your island stay.

I visited Lord Howe over the Easter weekend. A group of 4 booked to go deep sea fishing with Wilson's hire. Unfortunately the weather was not favourable so we only managed a short time on the reef, but did land 1x small double header before returned to safer water at the base of Mt Gower (outside the sanctuary zone) to do some sport fishing. Disappointing as it was, the skipper made the right call.We were lucking that in protected water we were able to catch many bluefish, trevalley, sharks etc. The issue arose with how many fish we were allow to keep before we were instructed any further fish were catch and release. I do not have a problem with this except we were only allowed to keep 1x Bluefish and 1x trevalley per person. These were not big fish. The bag limit is 5x Bluefish max allowed per person per day. When cleaned and filleted we each ended up with 4x small fillets .i.e. all the fish ended up in a small plastic resalable bag. To add to the disappointment, one of the crew helped himself to the best cuts of the double header. After paying $200 per head and ending up with 4x fillets I can not recommend this to anyone who enjoys fishing.

Terrible bikes; snorkels are scratched and the man who works here is rude to customers.

The old bloke treats you like you are a bother to him not a customer, the young fellow was great he is an asset to the business.The bikes were fine.

Disappointing. The bikes worked, but mine was too small even though it was the biggest available (staff refused to adjust fittings other than seat height), brakes were spongy (side-pull cantilever rim brakes), gears resisted changing, and staff refused to add air to soft tube. Emphasis on fast turnaround over best service. On the plus side, the shop is easy to reach and hire is affordable. Several adult trikes and child buggies were evident.If you are able to bring your own bike (not easy, given weight limits), you'll be happier. If not, be sure to check the brakes, gears and air.

Great that a hire service is available...but we found the seats on the bikes were extremely hard and this made for rather uncomfortable leisure riding.

We recently hired bikes for our two week stay, at a very reasonable rate. Very friendly service from staff. Bikes were in very good condition, as were helmets. As they are closed on Saturday, our day of departure, we left the bikes outside the shed. No problems! Thank you - we had a great stay.
