Lambton Park Tearooms
Beautiful setting at the village end of historic Lambton Park. It was very busy and well supported locals. We sat in the garden and chatted undisturbed for 2 hours. We enjoyed great scones, greek bicuits and peppermint slice. Lovely atmosphere and it's one of ny regular haunts.

Sorry Lambton tea rooms, I was disappointed. The pot of tea was nice, but the scone tasted like it was a day old, and the mocha slice was stale.

My frantic google maps search led us to this throwback tea house during a rather torrential downpour. On our way to Newcastle Airport and with many hours to fill, we dashed in here for some morning tea to escape the confines of the car.Lambton Park Tearooms is like stepping into your Nana's house - a time warp to tradition and an invitation to slow down to catch up. Owner Nevine has done an amazing job reinventing the space (previously a War Widows Refuge turned Baby Health Clinic) into a beautifully decorated cafe serving a range of cakes and pastries, a simple but tasty lunch menu, and of course all the beverages that encourage those lengthy chats we were deprived of during the pandemic. Our daughter's beloved Babycino arrived in the cutest tiny matching tea cup and saucer - somehow Nevine knew that pink and hearts would make her day. There were also tiny chairs and kid-friendly books and toys to be borrowed and loved on (simultaneously giving parents some much-needed time to natter). While the weather dictated we stay inside, I couldn't help but imagine the many tables in the front yard bustling and busy on a typically beautiful sunny Australian morning. That alone would be enough to compel us to return for a future visit.

Great selection of goodies to go with tea or coffee. Love their extra large mugs. Choice of inside or lovely outside old world setting. Service can be a little slow when they're busy but if you're not in a hurry it's no problem.

I found this quaint little Tea room by accident. Was the most beautiful experience. The staff were delightful. Food great. Cakes just like they had come out of a patisserie. Coffee is pretty darn good too.
