Golden City Hotel
Very friendly staff and super accommodating given how busy they were. Food came out fast and fresh, and our doggies were happy. Highly recommended.

Golden City Hotel
Fairly woeful experience at the Golden City Hotel. Not great service though admittedly they were very busy. Pleasant modern interior but disappointing pub meals for a country town. $6.20 for a post mix coke is kind of ludicrous and the steak sandwich was fatty and over cooked. My husbands parma fared better but my meal left me feeling a little queasy. Why is it so hard to get a decent steak sandwich these days!

Popped in for a late lunch.This is a beautiful location, with a wide array of meal options.Today, I had the Waygu beef burger with chips (fries), lemonade, and for desert, Mars Bar cheesecake, and cappuccino (extra shot)For patron and cyclists alike, there is a tap at the Bar with cool filtered water.There are outdoor and indoor seating options, and function areas, for a larger event.Highly recommended

Great hotel and superb service. We had a great table by a window where we could watch the amazing sunset. The parmigiana was a little dry but tasty. Would go again as the atmosphere was warm, cosy, and welcoming.

Really great service and super friendly staff. The food is delicious and lots of choices to choose from. They were also really welcoming of my assistance dog which I’m grateful for. Was also quiet and peaceful when we went for dinner. Overall, it is a very good quality place to enjoy a nice dinner.

BALLARAT is overloaded with cafes eateries and restaurants and sometimes a simple pub food option is the answer. Once you navigate Ballarat's mandatory paid parking system you'll find the Hotel a couple of blocks up the main drag.Tradesmanlike food service with generous portions and a reasonable menu at pub-type price range.Warm and accommodating on a freezing winter day. Tasty Pizzas and large linguine (not al dente) served promptly with good coffee.

Came here for lunch at 2:40pm. We had fish and chips, parmesan chicken and 2 pizzas. The first time I had a pizza with pumpkin,feta,mozzarella,pine nuts! The crust was nice. The pizzas came after the rest but the staff explained so it is ok. Professional staff. I will definitely go back!

With its gorgeous structure from the inside out✨❤️ and delicious meals, strongly recommend it for families or couples looking to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, or brunch on the weekends. Please do not forget to taste their delicious coffee ❤️

Good service with friendly staff. I had a chicken Parma which was a typical chicken parma. Hard to fault.My partner had the special of the day risotto which was Chicken and mushrooms. It came out with chorizo, chicken and mushrooms. Super salty where she only had a few bites. Not impressed, looked like a slobbering mess.

Been here a few times for lunch and dinner. Every time I've visited, I've had a great experience with staff and management. Always polite and friendly. Food is tasty and you can tell its fresh. Hoping to see more vegan options in the near future, with food and desserts. I have seen staff get really busy and they're still friendly and warm towards people, I observe.Over all - well done team and thank you for your hospitality. Bar staff also, very hard working.
