We ordered for seven people for take away, it took about 15 minutes longer than they initially told us. Soon after we left they called to say we had left a meal - they gave us a large box so they had left it out. We went back to get it and the waitress said she had gotten confused and written an entree size meal instead of the main, so we then had to wait longer for the right meal. More than 10 minutes wait again, plus the inconvenience of returning. The food was just ok, definitely not worth the service, we won’t be back.

Such a lovely experience with beautiful food and a wonderful host! We will be back! Took 2 kids who also enjoyed the meal! Especially the kids slushies and churros!

Beautifully decorated restaurant with a warm and cosy ambience. The waitress who attended to our table was very polite and friendly. The food was delicious and the serving was also pretty reasonable. Price was reasonable as well. Will definitely come back again in the future.

Nothing quite compares after you’ve dined at Amor Mexico.The Food - each dish is lovingly crafted and cooked to perfection. Their love for their work is evident in each bite and by the end you’ll wish you had more than one stomach so you could have more without feeling so full. Portion sizes are just right and you’ll leave feeling like you’ve gotten your money’s worth for sure.The Staff - where do you even begin with the staff? They are all such a pleasure to interact with, all of them so lovely and kind, always happy to help. This applies to no one more so than the charismatic owner of Amor Mexico, Amy. This is a woman who very clearly loves not only her business but every customer who walks through her doors. Instantly you feel like she’s a friend you’ve known for a lifetime and she makes you feel so at ease and so comfortable that you almost forget you’re dining at a business and could easily be forgiven for thinking you’re just having dinner with a friend. Amy is the life and soul of the business and you’ll find it nearly impossible to walk out without a grin on your face.This is the kind of business every community needs and Blackburn is forever blessed to be lucky enough to have such a gem in its backyard. Being an Amor Mexico customer is not just another night out, it’s knowing you’re giving back to a loving and inclusive community jewel who gives back to its community as much as it receives.10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone and cannot praise highly enough.

Came here for my birthday last week. Absolutely loved the food, the wait times were standard, the cocktails were yummy. We are very happy with the prices, sizes and quality of the dishes we had.Staff were so sweet, even put a birthday candle on my churro, I thought that was beautiful.We will definitely be repeat customers.

A nice place in eastern suburban Melbourne. Amor Mexico is unspectacular, but with simple, tasty food and friendly service. The beef in the burrito special seemed to be of good quality and all the ingredients were fresh.We visited on a Thursday evening and there was plenty of seating and the meals arrived within a reasonable time.

We had a lovely night at Amor Mexico, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely, and the frozen margaritas were yummy as well.But The food portions were too small and did not match the high prices. I would've liked a larger serving size especially the nachos and the gluten free tortillas were very small.Otherwise we enjoyed the great service and had a good night out.
