Telstra have kindly laid high energy cables underground in the area. Almost impossible to use a metal detector here. Some great gold history here but a shame it’s near unusable.

One of Queensland’s most renowned Prospecting areas. Please note; This area has been heavily worked for many years, yet it still produces the odd decent sized Nugget.

Really tough going. But good fun. No gold this time, but plenty of lead slugs so I'm sure it's there. Also. Jumping ants the size of my dog, they really pack a punch when disturbed

No toilets, food etc So it's up to you.Water for panning is an issue. There is some if you hunt around.

its a pretty remote spot with not alot of signage to let you know where you can and cant fossick.
