I'm not really a cricket fan although I used to play as a kid in the 1970s and watch one day internationals in the 1980s. But James Oval seems to be a nicely kept cricket ground within the beautiful UWA campus. The relocated Irwin Street Building makes a nice heritage clubhouse, so the whole thing had a kind of village feel.

In addition to the green comfortable space, this oval hosts Cricket games and everyday training.

This is a play ground in an oval shape inside UWA campus. Mostly suitable to play cricket and I guess it is made for that. Besides, students play soccer and other sports. A lot of local cricket events are arranged in this field. There are practice nets where you can practice cricket. The field is very fine with small grasses. Well maintained.
